DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN

DO NOT let this shit happen again:

If you have tickets to The Game:

  1. Go to The Game and support your team,
  2. Use the MGoBoard ticket spreadsheet, or
  3. If you are a member of the UM Alumni Association, use their new ticket exchange: http://alumni.umich.edu/join/members-only?dest=/members/ticket-exchange

We have 99% of the tickets, don't be the traitor who supports the enemy to make a quick buck.  It is not worth it.  Every M fan in the stadium makes a positive difference and every ohio fan makes a big negative difference.  Only you can prevent this.

And how many times have we ruined their hopes with a great upset?  Why not witness another one?

The Seniors and Juniors on Team 134 deserve and need our support for their last game at Michigan Stadium versus ohio.  Don't let them down.

I'd rather lose by 50 in front of  a blue crowd than by 3 in front of  a red crowd. And I'd rather win by....hell, you get the picture.

This. A thousand times this. I hate to call people out but a lot of these old timers really piss me off -- I was too young to really appreciate our last national championship, and got into the game during the RR era so my perceptions of success aren't skewed to unrealistic expectations. To me, being in AA in the fall is it's own reward, even if the team is "underperforming."

My husband, two kids and I drove up in 2011 on thanksgiving day after having a Thanksgiving "breakfast" at home. We had a great weekend. I wish we were doing it again this year.

... during the Nebraska game, some of the Michigan "fans" around me bitched and moaned so much I wished they had sold their tickets to Nebraska folks.

I hope I am never in the situation where I can't use my OSU season tickets, but I have a hard time getting too upset at people who sell to the highest bidder.

Big time college football (this isn't just an UM issue) has made the conscious decision to maximize money at the expense of loyalty. Michigan sold lifetime Victors Club memberships that were supposed to guarantee people their seats a generation ago. But, as times changed, they just backed out of the deal and made the people who had bought the memberships pay PSDs.

So yeah, it sucks to see the stadium filled with OSU fans. But, if they are the more passionate ones willing to pay a higher price, I guess that's life. I just can't get on board with getting upset with someone who chooses a couple hundred bucks over some sort of one way loyalty.

Kept my ticket pretty much soley because of this, even with an offer from an OSU fan of almost double what I paid ( a lot). Wear maize and if/when it gets bad, just stare at the block M at midfield and dream of happier times.  Being drunk will help, too.

Yeah my dad kept hinting that I should sell our tix. There is no fucking way I'd sell tix to a game I can attend especially when it's The Game. A true fan changes plans (if possible) to be able to attend in my opinion

I live out of state and sell a fair number of my tickets.  But I donated my 4 OSU seats to Mott Children's Hospital.  The community relations office there gifts them to a patient and family.  Was fairly easy to do.  FYI.

I was not here in 2009 but I have too many nauseous memories of Crisler being filled to the roof with green and being drowned out with Sparty cheers. I have a hard time believing the same thing happen in the Big House. Say it ain't so!!! But on a positive note, I'm living in MI again, so if anyone needs to get rid of tickets...hint hint.

If it happens again this year I truly believe that Brady Hole should pull a Nick Saban and call out the fans. It's unacceptable to allow ohio fans to occupy our stadium like that, It screams "fair weather" fans.

Anyone who has followed this rivalry long enough knows anything can happen.

Go support the Wolverines and NOT the Buckeyes.

No season ticket holders either directly in front of us, or in back.  Have had some good luck for the most part, a particularly obnoxious Nebraska fan sitting behind me, but kudos to his wife for keeping him in check.....they left before the end of the game.  Loved the guys who sat there for Indiana (thanks for the sunglasses if you read this blog) So OSU will be interesting in that we don't know who we will be surrounded by......but I promise that:

--I will be "rowdy" enough for a half dozen people half my age;

--we won't be selling our tickets for any amount of money

--we will not be deterred by whatever crappy weather AND

--we aren't leaving even if it gets ugly because that's when our team most needs to look up in the stands and see Michigan fans there.

That was my first trip in YEARS to The Big House and my first ohio game.  Watching those damn fuckeyes around me gloat, wearing red and nuts was bad.  Listening to them spell out the worst state ever still gives me indigestion.

I've heard of other schools penalizing a season ticket holder if someone from the other school sits in their seats.  More or less, a near by season ticket holder turns in the offender.  It's going to be ugly (red) that Saturday.

Our players fought too damn hard, record aside, for that crap to happen. Damn I hate ohio and their stupid, conceited, low-brow, unsportsmanlike fans.

I remember seeing this picture right when the game came back on from the 1st or 2nd commercial break of the game. My dad and I were literally speechless at a loss of words. Michigan has never invaded ANY stadium like that (even Sparty or NW). If thefans are going to do that every time Ohio has a better record than us going into the game, the B1G might as well put The Game in C-bus every year. That was by far the lowest point in the history of Michigan football.

I'm doing my part....Got offered $500 for my pair of tickets......F*ck no! I'll be there....I don't care if I was offered $1,000. That was pathetic in 2009.

How many of you guys were at that '09? If it was pathetic on TV just multiply that by 1,000,000 in person. It was sad...pathetic. That should NEVER happen...EVER.

Even when UM has a down year it should be like the 70's, 80's, 90's, where even if UM wasn't great the stadium was packed and it was all maize and blue.

i wonder how much this weeks game will play into this? I mean if UM comes out looking good against Iowa and wins and is 8-3 I would think the stadium will be packed.

If UM lays an egg and gets pounded 21-3 to iowa this farking stadium won't hardly have a UM fan in it.

I personally think this iowa game is huge

How many texts, calls, and emails I got from my friends from school that are planning on going up to Ann Arbor for this game.  They can all smell blood, please do not let them embarrass us in the stands.

at The Game and regardless of how shitty the weather is or what the score is I will be staying until the end.  I keep reminding my Ohio loving co-worker about '93 and '95 and daydream about another 313yd rushing game....

They don't care who you are,  just as your willing to pay the $$$. I use to go to a lot of Michigan road game at Iowa and at Illinois, since they were not too far from my home in KS, but since 2010 investors have bought up a lot these tickets and now sell them for a ridiculous price. I would have went to the Iowa game but I'm not going to pay $200.00 per ticket for a decent seat. Just a few years ago I could get decent seats to Michigan road games for around $30 to $50.
