Those free throws at the end... Ice. Ice water runs through his veins.

the second half of the season.  Been a joy to watch him grow as a player.  He was fantastic today.  On his way to being an elite player.  He and Moe will likely get more calls going their way next year than this year as well.

dorky and uncoordinated.

This year - smooth as silk, and Rumeal-level balls at the line.

Incredible improvement. He's like a teenager who just grew 6 inches - grew into his body.

here in california posted something about the game(she's not actually a fan) and tagged his mom who she's friends with on FB. Had to tell her we love her kid, clutch, he won that game the last few minutes. I was thrilled when I saw we grabbed a kid from nearby years ago.

He's a great example of hard work paying off. He's changed his body since he arrived on campus, and his contributions now compared to last year are like day and night. I love his shot and his effort, and he's proven he's a clutch player multiple times this year.

I was just telling my friend that it's getting to the point where I'm not nervous when DJ gets fouled at the end of games. Only Walton has that distinction at the moment.

Unfortunately, we might be seeing DJ and Mo playing themselves into the first round of the NBA THIS YEAR.   We have to slow these 2 down a little, hopefully come back next year and then be a lottery pick.

I'm going to actually cry if Moe and DJ leave after this year. Sure, it's great for them to reach the NBA, but it brings back horrible flashbacks of the 2 years prior to this one when our team was drained.

I mean this a guy who barely saw the floor a year ago, and is now perhaps one of the best in college basketball. How do you make that leap and just grow with incredible confidence in that time? You have to give the staff lage credit, something we've not really been fond of doing here, because we expect Michigan results without exception. Well, DJ is just a wonderful player and athlete.

And when he did play last year he was awful. Lost on D, hoisted up dumb shots, and was so skinny it looked like you could snap him like a twig.

Now he is remarkably smooth, and really coordinated. He looks so confident with the ball in his hands, he has a great stroke, and he's our best post defender (ok, low bar).

No doubt in my mind he's got NBA talent. I hope he agrees another year under Coach B will help his development. Please.

I appreciate you keeping us in it in the first half.  I appreciate you wanting the ball on the inbounds in the last minute.  Clutch player - great teammate

are an absolute matchup nightmare for most teams.  Incredible that against a team absolutely loaded with pretty talented bigs, those two were the ones who took it to L'ville.  Awesome!

I love making fun of the "Fire Beilein" crowd, so it's only fair I take my lumps. I had very low expectations for DJ coming into this year. I thought he looked like a giraffe on roller skates and soft. the first few times he dribbled behind his back or drove the lane or made a 3 I chalked it up to luck. but it's not luck, he has shown tremendous improvement since he joined the team. he is not soft, and is incredibly agile and flexible with defensive assignments. DJ and Wagner are like having 2 athletic Pittsnogles on the court at once and I love it

Wagner too. I am afraid that the NBA beckons, So yes, only one thing to do. Win the whole fuckin' thing.

That is the original cut, you guys gotta quit watching comedy channel for your quotes.....

And I have no problem dedicating a thread or two to the obvious choices/stand outs each win... But I also think someone should create a Seniors/MAAR appreciation thread. Irvin was selective and efficient offensively, DWJ still led the team and had his fingerprints all over the game despite shooting woes, MAAR made timely plays when we needed them and all 3 played great defense and made UL's perimeter players a complete non factor.

like his hair was on fire. Outstanding DJ, just exemplary basketball for all to witness. To be fair this is a team sport and this team has been playing its ass off. Should sharing MVP's across the board, if it isnt DJ its Walton if it's not Walton it's Wagner if not Wagner than it's Zak... Pick your poison.

on same page defensively or whatever it was he was screaming to his teammates.

Seemed like he wasn't even concerned about shooting the upcoming free throws.

Really running out of things to say about DJ...He has just been incredible this season, and especially down the stretch. Cold as ice at the free throw line!! Much love for DJ!!
