Dirty Player of the day? Miss. St. Center Dillon Day

Submitted by wresler120 on

Mississippi State Center Dillon Day wins the award for dirty player of the day ... well I call it dirty player of the season. It's pretty disgusting to watch him stomp on the mid section of 1 LSU player and then on the inner thigh of a 2nd player ... both of which were clearly caught on video. An incident like this brings up the question of to what extent should a player be punished for playing dirty like this. He could seriously injure a player in this manner, and I believe the NCAA should step in on situations like this. After watching the video I think a player acting in this manner should be done for the season. It's completely dirty to stomp on players, and there's no room for it in sports. We all know the school will basically brush it under the rug and give him a slap on the hand.

They're bad yes but idk about how bad. I can see if he was already standing there and deliberately stomped on the players but in both instances he was already in the air it seems and just chose to Land where he shouldn't. Bad yes, season ending idk. Hard to cast the stones from this video.

I teach at Mississippi State and have et Dillon several times. He was really nice to my son at a local restaurant about three weeks ago. His actions do warrant a suspension.

This stuff doesn't come even remotely close to what Gholston did a few years back. If Denard would have had a lot of tension in his neck, twisting his head like that could have paralyzed or killed him. Gholston was as trashy of a player as MSU's field was that day

it was clear as day intentional, he could have gone so many different ways. The second one looks legitimatley inocent. That beaing said, the tweet after the game calling out his "haters" that just shows he doesnt care that he injured 2 players in that game in what were questionable plays.

His response is almost as bad as the actions themselves.
