If I were Nostradamus, which I most certainly think I am not, I would predict that a number of people are going to complain extensively about your title. Namely the use of an ellipses part. But again, Nostradamus and all that.

that well recently. Taurian washington, dionte allen to name a few. Its too bad cuz that school always seems to have a great high-school team.
We also havent been doing well with any of the catholic schools now that I think of it. (Brother Rice, De LaSalle, Uof D)
The last player I can think of MM out of catholic central, which was a huge get.

I went to De La Salle, and we did not see a ton of D1 talent in the Catholic League. Good teams, but not a ton of athletic specimens.

We got Trent from OLSM, as I was sternly and correctly reminded the other day, but our record of pulling recruits out of the Eaglets is not ideal.

I was at DLS in the eighties and we had D1 talent every year including Michigan players, John Vitale and Allen Jefferson.
The coaching is greatnow and the talent will pick up as well.

Do you know this for sure or are you just saying that? I was under the impression that Michigan was grouped with a collection of schools at the top but no leader. Definitely not trying to say that you're wrong, just trying to clear things up for myself as Ross' recruitment will be huge for us

Why would OSU take a guy who could not crack the lineup of one of the worst defenses in the country the last couple of years, with limited eligibility left when they are looking at limited scholarships next year in a stacked Ohio?

If he only has one year to play (2011), then it doesn't really matter. It just helps with depth and OLSM connections.

Hmm, this Seminole site says he was in a battle for first team CB role with Greg Reid. Wonder if he lost out and thought it was better to transfer. Seems odd since he'll be a RS Junior this year. Would he just sit out and not be a part of the team for a year, or do transfer rules allow the player to practice even if they've already taken a redshirt?

From everything I read, it seemed like he had the same "opportunity" to win the starting job that Devin Gardner does. Reid played more as a freshman last year, and seemed the popular choice the whole time to win the job. I hadn't even heard of a competition between the two, but I guess there was at least a precursory one. And transfers can practice, regardless of redshirt status, just not play.

There was a lot of howling (LLOYD TOO OLD! GAME PASS HIM BY! RECRUITS NOT INTERESTED!) when these two Top 10 (state of ) Michigan recruits went out-of-state. I don't think either one has torn it up at the college level.

Dionte Allen would NOT have to sit out a year because FSU is kind to those wanting to transfer away, so long as they aren't transferring to another ACC school. FSU signed a release that allows Allen to play immediately, without having to sit out a year.

This is a very good point. Allen was a kid with a lot of hype, but he simply hasn't produced. My understanding is he has work ethic issues and is simply not as talented now as he was as a senior in HS. I wouldn't expect him to play for OSU. But, hey, it's one fewer scholarship they have to give to someone who may actually contribute, so I'm okay with the transfer.
