Did Aubrey Solomon play on Saturday?

Submitted by Sauce Castillo on

I've tried to look for information on this, but can't seem to find it anywhere. I noticed Mone getting a lot of reps on Saturday and wondered if Aubrey was hurt since he had been coming on very strong in previous weeks. Has anyone seen if Solomon played or was hurt?

The biggest challenge on defense next year will be replacing Mo Hurst.  While that's impossible, Solomon (who did play sparingly) and Mone (who had one of his best games ever) should provide a good starting tandem.  I think Dwumfor will be a solid rotation piece and they can go with the Furbush in a 3-3-5 look option as well.

The final twist I expect to see is that Gary can slide inside in certain situations to get another speed guy on the field (Paye - Gary - Solomon - Winovich).

The biggest concern I would have for next year is if Winovich leaves early.  We didn't have the benefit of developing his back-up since he never came off the field and losing him would thus hurt a lot.

The bigger concern to me is safety play.  I think they'll have the depth on dline to be just fine.  Hurst is obviously tough to replace but the safeties weren't that great in coverage and when you combine their poor tackling and poor support angles, they turned a lot of 5-10 yd gains into much bigger plays for the opponent's offense.

to pursue a masters degree in Space Engineering. Will graduate this year with an undergrad degree in aeronautical engineering, which is really impressive to accomplish in 4 years as a D1 athlete in a demanidning P5 football program.

Will be crazy good next year.  They were fantastic this year despite all the post-loss whining.  With Peters establishing himself early on, we will have a lot to cheer about next year.

He definitely started the game but didn't see him out there later. Saw a lot of Mone. I saw Mone make a few nice stops on run plays so I figured maybe he was just playing better and was getting the reps, but now that you mention it I don't recall seeing Solomon later in the game.

The reason is most likely what was posted above about Sam Webb's observation of AS hobbling around on the sideline.  He most likely had some minor injury that forced the coaches to use Mone and Marshall a lot more.  Hopefully, Harbaugh will say something about it at the presser today.  Also, I hope there is some positive news about Kinnel.

I noticed Mone more after Haskins came in. Even more specifically after the announcers mentioned that Haskins is more of a pocket passer. Makes sense to have bigger DL in against a more conventional offense.
