Diamond and Gregory announcing together- bad for us?
ESPN ($) is reporting that teammates Jordan Diamond and QB Robert Gregory will both be announcing their decisions on February 3rd. Could this be bad news for Michigan? The only common team they have in their final schools is Arkansas. Assuming they have not made up their minds yet, this obviously could mean nothing-- but if Michigan had two recruits on their radar who were teammates and decided to announce together, I'd be pretty excited.
Considering his status as a prospect and how long Diamond has been discussed on this site, it is pretty impressive how he's kept everything so close to the vest. Hopefully Garnett's decision today will turn out well and (positively) influence the remaining recruits.
Diamond: Arkansas, Auburn, Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin
Gregory: Arkansas, Kansas, Minnesota and Purdue
Reminder: Garnett decision set for 6pm Eastern

So in other words, time to panic and loot?

At this point, my guess is what others have stated here - he's just announcing with his teammates because the school asked him to. Diamond is the big name, but as a teammate you probably want to declare with your teammates so as to not overshadow them beforehand.

Why would anyone select Arkansas if he had the chance to go to Michigan? Can anyone explain why Diamond is so attracted to Arkansas?

Yes. The reason he hasn't already committed to M is that we have already obtained commitments from some very very good OL. Instead of backing down from that potential competition, Diamond should choose the school he's always been a fan of. The competition will make him a better player in the long run, even if it means he doesn't start until his Junior year.

It's probably some garbage about playing in the SEC. Maybe it's about the women? I'm not really sure.

FWIW, some dude on 11W thinks there were some shenanigans going on. That's rich - O$U ripping on someone for being on the take?
Maybe the headline should be reversed: "Ohio State eliminates Jordan Diamond"
Rumors are he wanted the Cam Newton treatment. Just rumors, though
