the Dhani Jones story I couldn't help thinking about after reading the Kellen Jones post-- the one about Kellen's family singing the Victors in RR's office, with RR saying that was a first. It reminded me of the NYTimes article when Dhani was called in to sign his rookie contract with the Giants. If I remember it correctly, he first went to change into a nice suit [and tie, no doubt] and brought a camera to record the moment for his parents. The coach said he'd never seen such a thing before. Hard to believe, but maybe the guys usually come right from practice or in their sweats. Dhani said his parents would be ashamed if he didn't treat this special moment with the proper respect.
There was a later feature story about him in the Times where another player described him as being kinda weird. "I mean, that guy's talking all the time, and about everything! I mean, he knows so much!" Of course. He's Michigan man.
For all the wild-man persona he projects, he's a class act.
