Man, they really packed that field in there huh?
Looks like they'll be lucky to take a couple steps to the ball on a corner kick.
the distance the camera is from the field. You don't usually see soccer fields from that distance given how small and compressed most European stadium are on top of that most first first rows in England are actually below or equal to field level.
it is a narrow looking field, helped by the brickwalls.
Apparently the same guy that keeps taking pictures of Jabrill Peppers...
on the twitter. That is unreal. Very cool.
I was there at the training session. I was one of of a handful people there who actually knew who Devin was. I screamed his name a few times and he looked my way. He was throwing the football back and forth with Gareth Bale. Over 20,00 people showed up great scene.

First soccer, then metric #'s, huh?
Well, not in 'Murica!
Countdown until someone complains about the advertising 5, 4, 3, 2.....
International Soccer? I think I'd complain if there weren't advertising!
I'm suddenly thirsty for a Guinness Extra Stout...
Is it too early to start a Friday Drinking Thread?
Too early? It's Saturday in Manchester!

Still suffering from Game of Thrones withdrawal. Guess I know nothing.
Ronaldo > Mark Wahlberg?
yes hes soooo hot!!! no homo
man, that would be so awesome
Not to re-introduce World Cup material, but any update on the possibility of Qatar having the WC yanked and it possibly coming to America? Wha't the timeline on that?
My brother-in-law works closely with FIFA because he is a high end ticket broker for the World Cup and Euro Cup, and according to him, there's a near-zero chance anything changes with Qatar, at least in terms of moving it to another country. Qatar has invested too much money at this point, and if moving it becomes a legit possibility, the bribes will be too large to turn down.
All convicted felons, I doubt they would be anything anyway

...that is not as hot as the surface of the sun, I am going to be hitting you up for tickets in 4 years! :)
Not sure about Quatar, but the way things are going with Russia 2018 I could see that one coming our way instead.
Article on DetNews just posted
It's a little disappointing that the "most expensive soccer player in history" won't be lacing them up tomorrow. Should still be a good show.
Called it a few days ago. Makes me feel better about not being able to attend, but I'm going to the Liverpool vs. AC Milan game tomorrow with a chance to meet Balotelli!
or are you running on the pitch looking for a selfie

But, but MLive said he would play!!!
I assume James Rodriguez is not playing either? Is he even there?
Fresh transfer, he's definitely not there.
Gareth Bale is actually the most expensive player ever, and he will be playing.
At least Ronaldo doesn't look like a total douche.
Duh Colonel Angus
the shortest thread title you have ever created?
A picture of one of the best athletes in the world, and a pretty good soccer player.
Just don't put hate and country in the same sentence or you will receive a lecture young man lol.I'm sorry, I had to.
I have no clue why people thought I said country when I clearly wrote county. Maybe a magical "r" popped up on their screens.
really was a fail.
I don't know. Looks like they got 10k there.
Say you drop it to $25 and an extra 5k show up. You make a little more money, but not a ton. Did they maximize their revenue? I don't know - I presume the organizers have done this thing before and hae a bunch of stats and data to tell them what ticket price gives them the best reenue.
I drove past the stadium at about 4:30 and there was a giant line. They would never have a giant line just to have one. Never.
If I met Ronaldo...
the pictures in your OP and see that the students are late in showing up for soccer, too.
Even after Michigan Stadium had the upgrade in cell coverage.
Didn't you spread the word to them, too, WD?
Can't we all be outraged about no block M?
I want to feel furious about something something lawn
I am upset about that
...have fun. I'll be pulling for mutually assured destruction. Sad for me to see United in the Big House... talk about cognative dissonance...
Pretty cool...probably the most famous person he'll ever meet unless he meets Messi
Michael Jordan and Lebron are more famous
Worldwide that's debatable. Soccer is massive globally. Jordan in his peak yes but the majority of kids today never saw him play.
When Obama came to Ann Arbor and shouted out Denard, I have to imagine he's a good bit more famous than any athlete is. If Devin were to meet him or the next president[s] around for his football career, I would assume that would dwarf any athlete in a "most famous" competition.
The US is one of the few countries who really care about basketball. EVERY country cares about soccer. I guarantee you can find Messi's or Ronaldo's face in just about every country on earth.
