If there is one recruiting area where my concern is lowest going forward, it's at quarterback.  I know it's the most important position by far, but I just don't think Harbaugh is going to have trouble finding guys, especially if he is going to be taking 1-2 guys in every class.  From what I understand, he took in a lot of guys at Stanford and seemed to do alright.

In Weaver's own words:

"After conversations with my family and God I am announcing that I will be reopening my recruitment and decommitting from the university of Michigan," deWeaver wrote on Twitter. "Thank you to everyone who supported me and still supports me through this decision. #GodBless."

Per other tweets, he met with some position coaches at Kentucky today actually.

Why is everyone so excited about this? Weren't we thinking he had some decent talent and could legitimately compete to start in a few years? I don't get it.

Rather I believe, most people kind of thought the writing was on the wall..

DeWeaver visiting MSU and other schools and JH coming in and probably have a different coaching philosophy... Not sure what was the reason but for some reason, I feel the decommitment was on DeWeaver who probably did not like 2 QB for class approach and competition..

Didn't seem to fit where the offense was headed.  I don't recall hearing people gushing about his ceiling, either.

I can't wait to see who ends up in the QB spots...

Is he a P QB or a DT QB. Brings Tajh Boyd to mind -- he was a Vol commit then Kiffikins took over and was told politely that he wouldnt fit in Lane's system. So he cut loose. I think thats totally legit way to go. Ended up fine for Boyd at Clemson, had a great career there. Plus he got out of the dumpster fire that was Tennessee.

He's an athletic QB who will find a spot somewhere. He's just going out on a limb by ditching Mixhigan. I don't think his senior season will pan out the same as these past years when he was able to out muscle kids because of physical maturity.

He took his team to the state final as a freshman--he was hardly able to "outmuscle kids because of physical maturity" as a ninth-grader.

And I'm not sure I understand why he's going to be less physically mature as a senior than he was in these past years. It's not like his opponents are going to be any older.

I never really follow recruiting a year ahead, but I starting looking at the sites and putting together a completely random 99% wrong best guess list just based off of offers, interest and location. Anyone know anything about any of these guys and how realistic it may be?

I'm trying to get excited about 2016 and keep an eye on certain names.

I'm not sure exactly what you want to know.

IMO, that's not a very good linebacker class with Harding and Reese. Personally, I don't think Reese is going to get offered by Michigan unless they're desperate toward NSD.

I also have not heard great things about Lawrence Gordon. He's a big, athletic kid but nobody's going after him, and I just don't see him making many plays. Again, I think that's kind of a poor DE class if it's Gordon and Murphy.

Otherwise, like I said, not sure what you're really looking for here...

5 Star who decommits: "He didn't seem that good anyway, didn't want him here anyway."

2 Star who does commits: "Has great upside, Harbaugh will turn him into an All American, in Harbaugh I trust."
