Devin Gardner Recruitment
I was looking at recruits, and somehow made it over to buckeyeplanet.com. There is a huge thread related to the recruitment of Gardner, and I had no idea how badly they wanted him. For a long time, they believed he was an OSU lock. It seemed like they were ready to have a meltdown once he committed to UofM. Apparently this is a picture of him burning his OSU offer. I'll also post the thread, because the mood swings are hilarious.

I was going to but this damn economy made it unaffordable so I opted for the New Jack City experiece at Hotel Yorba off of I75 and Clark.

I've actually had this picture on my computer for a long time. Someone on here posted it last summer. Not that it's not cool as shit though. I used it as my Facebook pic during OSU week for all you creepy stalkers!

The OSU guys are correct in remembering him as an OSU lock--according to his early recruitment and how it was portrayed on Scout.
It seems Gardner was an OSU fan and his committment was pretty much conceded o the Buckeyes by King Beaver--but the Buckeyes became enamored with Montana's kid (who must have had that "Only recruit ME or I'm gonna take my four Heismans and go home" attitude), slow played Devin, and SHAZA-YUM he was a Wolverine before Tressel knew it.
Then the burning, and now Gardner stands poised to rewrite quarterback history.

Didn't OSU never really officially offer Gardner? Seems like they wanted Montana the whole time and were never interested in Gardner.

I loved following his recruitment on the ole buckeye planet, cause I love watching people's reaction of a player change, once said player has no interest in your school.
