It's almost like there's a natural link between the Freep writing about "big recruits" considering MSU and then the same guy(s) committing to Michigan that same day!
As for Williams...was he even on the radar outside of 'interest'? I must have missed that.
We''ve led for him for a while but most of the TE talk seemed to be around Thompson and Funchess.
I wonder with the transfers would we rather take a 3rd TE (Thompson) or a fourth LB (bolden and or BIGGS)
Depends if anyone else leaves, but I'd be inclined to say there will be more and if so we can do both.
Agree. Plus, none of these 3 tight ends seems like a lock to stay at the position, so it's not necessarily true that we'd be getting 3 TEs.
Just a hunch after seeing some pretty unhappy players coming off of the field after the spring game.
Hard to say right now. Apparently the staff have told Funchess he could play some WR and if that's true, they might want a 3rd TE anyway.
Combined with Williams potentially switching to OT down the road, a 3rd TE is likely, especially since the coaches have mentioned that number.
I had to look back at some TomVH posts to refresh my memory on him.
M has been in the driver's seat for quite some time. The Funchess commitment was certainly more surprising.
Edit: Refresh page, then type.
will 2 rucruits from the same position group commit to UofM, within a day or two of each other? (So far 2 - OL, 2 - LB, 2 - TE)
Wormley and Ojemudisjkjdflbhajha. It's gonna be a good day.
Or I'd be fine with Wormley and Godin.
Godin is a DT, Ojemudia and Wormley are DE.
Godin and Day would be a good....er day.
I really want to get Diamond's and Thompson's commitments but if we had to take a position pair next I'd like (in my dream order):
1. O'Brien & Day - DT
2. Wormley & Godin (or Ojemudia) - DE
3. Diggs & Burbridge - WR
4. Ross & Bolden - LB
5. Two safeties?
6. Diamond & Denman (or Pirsig) - OL
7. Richardson & Morgan (or Reeves) - CB
**1. Mauk & Kiel - QB
Haha, I definitely wouldn't mind one of them unless Morris somehow commits to us this year. As for RB, I think that priority is on the backburner unless one of the following happens (again in order of my dreams):
1. Dunn decommits from Tsio for us :)
2. Marshall commits
3. Brown comes in a package with Diggs
We have a decent shot with every pair on that list (more or less) except the wide receivers.
Well yeah, I try to keep my dreams reasonable.
Jarrod Wilson is one safety.
Deon Bush? (listed as S on scout) or Anthony Standifer if we felt like moving him there?
Deon Bush is also listed as a safety on Rivals. However I believe the consensus is that he most likely won't leave the south, although I could be completely wrong on that. Magnus would probably know better, I think i remember him mentioning something like that in a previous thread.
Wow. Well done Michigan. Now go get some D-linemen.
This is a Michigan Man if I've ever seen one.
He looks like a commando with that hat.
lol i wonder if he has some Michigan socks, boxers and or body peircing?
At 260 lb, he is FORTY POUNDS heavier than Omameh was at the same point...kind of gives you a little perspective. This guy is either going to move to the OL...or be a monster 290 lb TE. Both are intriguing...actually.
As for Thompson, how can he commit? Unless we take two more TE, it seems we only take commits in pairs...
Or a FB? Manball?
I've never seen a 6'6" fullback.
That's because you've never seen a true man play the position.
I watched Cory Schlesinger for his entire NFL career.
the facemask counter on the Lion's website. That man shattered facemasks like they were glass.
John. Kuhn.
By the time the 6'6" fullback leaves Michigan he will be 4'8" right Coach Hoke?
I come to mgoblog every hour. For these moments that make me happy
Nice pickups, love that we got a kid from FHH...Eat it sparty.
AJ Williams looks HUGE, I would not be surprised whatsoever if he moves to OL.
Eat it Sparty and please eat Funchess. Time to put on a few lbs
It's Good Friday, indeed.
Today was a good day.....
Great news! GO BLUE!!!
It appears the sophomoric "smurf" moniker can be put to rest. All our 2012 commits are 6feet +.
Were either of these guys the rumored "silent" commit?
Nope.
Sweet good news at last! This class is filling out nicely. Welcome aboard gentleman.
What a great day it is today. Even though it is raining, and after the crappy news yesterday, this surely brings a little sunlight into Michigan Football today. Welcome Devin and AJ.
The best thing about this recruiting strategy is the degree to which it neutralizes one of our three top rivals. RR's wanderlust created an opening for
<br>MSU. Now Sparty is screwed.
