Devin Bush Jr. Looking good for Michigan.

iraschoffel All-world Seminole Insider New Michael is down in South Florida covering Devin Bush Jr.'s announcement, and he just talked to a couple people close to the situation. And they told him they expect Devin to announce for Michigan today, and not Florida State. This could obviously change but I doubt it being the morning of. As a former FSU football alum I can tell you he is a HUGE want for the Noles and this is a B1G Deal if Harbaugh pulls this off. Devin is the type of player and athlete that can change things in Ann Arbor and he fits well into Michigan's least athletic position. We will find out for sure in a few hours. Shaping up to be a great day for Michigan!

Please remember signing day past year with RB Weber...we heard all night and morning he was signing with UM....not what happened. I'm cautiously waiting for him to announce and I'll believe what he says, nothing else.

long(signing day) to find out for sure, but have to hope that if he chooses Michigan today that he sticks with the commitment, coming into a recruiting dead period and (theoretically) FSU can't have much if any contact with him unless he initiates it, and with two teammates and good friends of his already headed to Michigan it has to help the cause.

Once is great, twice is cool.... but three times and you are just trying too hard.

HOWEVA... post this in the other thread before it gets deleted because it is great info.

He will need to really hit the weights but I see him at minimum helping out a lot on special teams and being a factor in the 2 deep year one. He plays physical and has a great nose for the ball. He also just won a state title and plays great competition. Kids from top programs in Florida are definitely prepared for college ball well. This would be a huge win for Michigan and Devin is the type of kid that will help bridge the talent/athlete gap between us and Ohio State. Harbaugh gets it and is getting it done on the trail.

Yeah I think expectations are a bit out of line at his size for next year in terms of LB work.  That mostly comes from the desperation looking at our LB ranks but a guy like Furbush or Winovich (despite playing TE) should be much more physically ready than Bush in 8 months after being in college S&C program for multiple years.

Where you hope to see Bush is down the road as it seems like with he, Gil, and Johnson you are recruiting a similar player (Gil is a 215 lb S) in that these guys are a bit undersized but hopefully are flying missles who give us more of that sideline to sideline speed in this "3-4" concept (which apparently is not that much different than what Durkin was running).  But usually guys like that who are not top 50 types still will need some seasoning.

Jackson was the one guy we have any chance at that seemed to be ready to come in and help immediately.  But the Durkin loss really seemed to hurt there.

Michigan hasn't gotten anyone from Ohio this year.  Florida is just loaded with Division 1 talent, many of which are underrated compared to guys from other states.  If FSU really wants him, you know he's very good.

for ICB (inside corner back) for Leavitt's new 3-2-2-4 defense. He's not big enough to play OLB just yet, but just the right size to play off the line as a non-press CB watching also for outside run plays.

Unless something miraculous happens in the next 2 hours. Devin Bush Jr. Looks to be going Blue. There may be a new recruiting coordinating hire to go along with this.

FSU doesn't have the lengthy history or Financials of Michigan right now. FSU has a great 34 year track record and is a perennial top 10 program but Michigan is still Michigan and has tremendous support and amenities....and history.
