Detroit News Article on Indy camp

My favorite quote from Detroit New article: Harbaugh laid out the ground rules of the camp: no njuries, make a new ally, leave the event with more confidence and have an “attitude for gratitude.” “You’re somebody’s pride and joy, their whole world. Just have a little gratitude for that,” said Harbaugh, who wore his usual Michigan shirt, Michigan hat, khakis and black cleats. “Maybe when you leave here today, thank them or thank somebody for being alive, being here, whatever it is. “Do your best, that’s all anybody asks and that’s all anybody expects. That would make your parents very proud. Go out and give it your best and take something away from today.” EDIT: link below http://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/201…

Last week I helped my buddy build a deck. Told my girlfriend I was a saint for my hard work, saving him money, and being away from her all weekend.

Truth is I was excited to drink beer and bbq with my best friends while building said deck. We worked hard, but had a shit ton of fun.

I feel like that's how these camps are.  They're just as much for Harbaugh's enjoyment as they are for the kid's productivity.  Everyone wins (except Saban, 'cause fuck him)

This is why I scoff when people like Saban say it's all about recruiting and taking advantage of the kids.  Harbaugh does this stuff because he loves football.  He loves coaching and interacting and helping people become better.  That's why Michigan football is going to be great for a long time.  Because this guy is a football maniac and there is absolutely nothing this guy would rather be doing than coaching football.

I wonder if Saban has it? His comments seem to come from someone with a shrinking head.

My son went to the camp. Coach took some pics with him, signed some things for him and talked to him for about 10 minutes about various things. My son had an unbelievable time being around him!
