DetNews Story on Recruiting Impact of Harbaugh Hire
The Detroit News just published an article on how recruits are viewing the Harbaugh hire. Basic summary: Michigan's remaining commits have all pledged to solidify 100% and many others that Hoke missed out on are interested in talking. Nothing we didn't know already in a broad sense, but it's interesting to read some of these players' quotes.

Anyone have an approximate number of schollies we will have for this class?

Clark would be a huge get, IMO. I can't imagine why he'd have any aprehension now.

Remarkable that he's already working...We definitely got our guy.

We sure did!

we sure did. how awesome was it that he kept talking about being excited for winter conditioning? this guy is locked in.
funny harbaugh story: he once ran sprints with his SD team until he puked. we are so lucky to have jimmy home!

Correction to the SD story...it wasn't until he puked, he ran through the puke...just kept going. #Jackhammer

Rivals said that they spoke for over an hour and that Harbaugh also spoke to his parents too.

Can't believe he'll end up anywhere but M. He already liked the school, and Harbaugh's offense is ideal for tight ends. He'll have the chance to play right away as well.

Harbaugh.

His efforts started with the committed players. Saginaw Heritage wide receiver / defensive back Brian Cole had taken official visits to other schools, but told Scout's Bill Greene at the Under Armour All-American Game in Orlando that he was now completely solid to Michigan and was set to enroll in a few weeks. Cole spoke with Harbaugh after his practice on Tuesday morning.

Interesting part at the end about him being a good recruiter because he is a good evaluator of talent rather than just a star chaser.
Compare that description to the general consensus about Urban Meyer if you wish to do so...

I believe that we are all going to be very happy on NSD. Harbaugh won't get the best class in the conference because there aren't a lot of spots open this year, but he is going to pull in a few surprises.
December 30th, 2014 at 6:39 PM ^
to me, the "best class" is not pure numbers. It's about the quality of the players and how many of them make an impact. Also, it's about how the class fulfills the team needs. I believe we can have a class of 15 and still have the best in the conference regardless of what Rivals, Scout, or ESPN say.

Getting Clark back would be HUGE. The offense needs some playmakers so maybe some athletes added too would make this class great.

Bummer that DJ is stuck until Jan 3. I assume there have to be rules that you cannot be employed for school 1 and recruit on behalf 2.

I like the part about how he is more of a talent finder than big name guy. Kind of like Beilein. You would think that with his eye, the allure of Michigan and the level of celebrity he has attained these past few years he should be able to put together some exceptional classes.

Nothing to eye opening here. They were another local news outlet late to the Harbaugh party.
