Desmond Morgan gives up #48, will wear #3

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

With the news of 11, 21, 47, 48, 87 and 98 jersey numbers going into retirement yesterday, I figured this was a bit of relevant news.

There were questions on whether Desmond Morgan would get to keep the #48 jersey that he has worn since 2012.

Well, judging by these posts of his on Instagram, it looks like he's going to have to give #48 up.

His new number choice is very interesting, though.

I disagree with your use of "TWSS" here.  While yes, "you're amazing" could be what she said in a sexual way, this phrase is best reserved for lines that can be flipped into more of a quite lewd and inappropriately timed sexual innuendo (ex:  "The hot dog was big, I could barely get my mouth around it.")

He was listed as S/LB on the roster back then, but played a majority of his career at safety.

He only played that hybrid spot his senior season. Technically he does count as a LB who played as #3, though.

In the coming weeks, I think we might need to have some sort of open forum for other marsupials on the board - bandicoots, wallabies, possums, wombats....and so on - so we can talk about a formal policy for the treatment of this particular infraclass of mammals to prevent any tension. Let the mods know if there is interest - we can set that up.

Koalas are mean.  I will never deny that.  I am honest though and I believe that to be admirable.  Maybe a open forum would help toward uniting these long time foes and we can all unite as one marsupial nation where kangaroos don't kick adolescent koalas.  Probably not . . . but I can dream.

Isn't unheard of, but it's not common.  Vic Beasley wore #3 for Clemson as a rush end, but I can't think of anyone else fairly recently at a position like this with this number.  Will take a few games to get used to Morgan wearing #3 but nothing more.

I kind of love when big players wear small (especially single digit) numbers.

I also love when tiny players wear large numbers.

If we could have a 5'8" slot wear number 99 somehow that would be awesome...not sure if it's allowed though.
