Desmond is the man. Period.

Desmond doesn't play any games when asked to predict tomorrow's game by OSU Fan Jay Crawford.... Damn, I'm glad we have him representing Michigan on ESPN.
November 23rd, 2012 at 7:27 PM ^
Saw this on my friend's facebook page earlier. Agreed with you that Desmond is the man. Love this video.
November 23rd, 2012 at 7:40 PM ^
Are desmond and denard related? They look like they could be brothers...voice and face are similar.
November 23rd, 2012 at 9:16 PM ^
they both have amazing smiles
November 23rd, 2012 at 7:40 PM ^
Desmond brought up the Fitz injury, which got me thinking... Might changing up the backfield actually help Michigan? Fitz hasn't had great success this season, and I could see a thunder and lightening combo of Robinson / Rawls really mixing it up and messing with ohio's gameplan. Especially if the game is low scoring, Rawls can wear them down and Robinson can go for the kill.
November 23rd, 2012 at 8:29 PM ^
Having a starting running back can help that team improve, because OH MY GOD I CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT FREE SPEECH. BRING BACK TOTALITARIANISM. IN SOVIET RUSSIA TIBIA SNAPS YOU.
November 24th, 2012 at 10:29 AM ^
How you managed to fuck up THAT badly in such a short time without being a troll or a sock account.
November 23rd, 2012 at 7:43 PM ^
Ifs and Buts and all... Howeva! How many losses would OSU have if they had to play Bama and ND? How many losses would Michigan have with OSU's cupcake schedule?
These two teams are a lot closer than the records imply.
Michigan 30. OSU 28. Brunettes, Bitches, Brunettes.
November 23rd, 2012 at 10:27 PM ^
I mean I get your point, but I doubt if OSU would have lost to ND.
ND is severely overrated and very beatable, provided you don't do the six TO thingy.
After all...ND Sux.
November 23rd, 2012 at 10:56 PM ^
People need to give ND their due. Just because they're not blowing the doors off people, nobody thinks they're any good.
They're 11-0 with wins against Stanford, Michigan, and @Oklahoma.
Kelly is finally wising up, letting his defense dictate games, and having his freshman QB do just enough to win, with a little help from that one guy who assaults police officers.
November 24th, 2012 at 6:03 AM ^
And I definitely believe that the ND taking the field tomorrow against USC is not the same ND team we played earlier this year. They've improved quite a bit, just like UM has.
But ohio still sucks.
November 24th, 2012 at 11:05 AM ^
is meh, even before starting a new QB.
November 23rd, 2012 at 11:18 PM ^
tOSU is severely overrated and very beatable, also.
November 24th, 2012 at 9:31 AM ^
Just as we would have if AB hadn't handcuffed Denard and used his MSU 2011 game plan. Also, Urban wouldn't have tried to throw all over ND when his run game was working just fine.
November 23rd, 2012 at 7:46 PM ^
I have known this fact for 21 years.
November 23rd, 2012 at 7:47 PM ^
I love Desmond Howard
November 23rd, 2012 at 7:52 PM ^
Desmond Howard is the man. Amen. I've never seen that guy (Jay Crawford) in my life... he's kind of a tool.
November 23rd, 2012 at 9:21 PM ^
He's the host of First and Ten with Skip Bayless and Stephen A...probably explains it.
November 23rd, 2012 at 11:53 PM ^
Wow, did he lose a bet?
November 23rd, 2012 at 7:55 PM ^
Yeah Joes! gotta love dez
November 23rd, 2012 at 8:00 PM ^
I love Des, but he also picked us to beat Bama.
November 23rd, 2012 at 8:28 PM ^
Ohio state aint no Bama. If Michigan can contain Miller with just a modicum of success then they have a better than average shot of winning this game. The only game this season they were out of was the bama game and if Denard could have hit some of those wide open receivers in that game it could have changed the tenor of that game. Maybe not the out come. But it would not have been so lopsided. Michigan realistically could be a one loss team going into this game. They definitely left two games on the table.... I dont think anyone one on this board thinks Nebraska is a better team than us and the notre dame game...well....that was just awful playing and play calling by the offense. Ohio should be a good game. Go blue!
November 23rd, 2012 at 8:13 PM ^
In front of all those visitors they have tomorrow......sooooo pumped!
November 23rd, 2012 at 8:23 PM ^
Desmond Howard is the man.
November 23rd, 2012 at 8:34 PM ^
I had to go back and listen a couple times, but I could of sworn Des called the buckeyes O-Lie-O State.
Maybe it's just me.
November 23rd, 2012 at 8:55 PM ^
"Don't forget, you've got number 16 out there...he's pretty special too."
I liked this little punctuation mark he put on his discussion of the offense, as well as the look that says, "You underestimate my alma mater, Jay". I had to smile too when he went on with his answer to the original question even when Jay was trying to switch to the rivalry question. You could see and hear the passion.
Thanks for sharing this, OP.

Desmond has come a long way, in 18 months, from saying about Denard, "You ain't won nothing, son..." Now in fairness to Desmond, in the ensuing 18 months, Denard led Michigan to a thrilling win against Notre Dame (but he had done that before as well), and Michigan held on to beat Ohio State in Ann Arbor, and there was the Sugar Bowl win over Viginia Tech. So I guess that Denard "won something." Is that what Desmond had in mind?
November 23rd, 2012 at 10:38 PM ^
I think that's precisely the type of thing he had in mind. Denard has come a long way. He's long past the nail-biting victories over the likes of Indiana.
November 23rd, 2012 at 11:28 PM ^
And now winning the nail-biters versus Northwestern!
November 24th, 2012 at 12:15 AM ^
Improved Northwestern team, mind you. Our only ranked team win of the season (until tomorrow, of course).
November 24th, 2012 at 1:59 AM ^
Yeah man it sucks barely beating 9-3 teams...You are such a goddamn tool man. You do realize very talented teams have lost to Northwestern in the not to distant past? Go pleasure yourself to some RR interviews or something..
November 24th, 2012 at 8:58 AM ^
I was never the guy who suggested that Denard Robinson not let the door hit him on the way out.
November 23rd, 2012 at 8:55 PM ^
Confident and spoken from the heart!
Go Blue!
November 23rd, 2012 at 9:08 PM ^
Honest assesment if you ask me. Michigan has had the clear advantage in defense, it's tough to measure offense because both teams have had ups and downs, and Michigan's used 3 qb's this year, but in the last 3 games Gardner has been a superior qb to Miller, and especially against Iowa our 2 qb looks and diverse offense has the edge. Only way Ohio leads us is in the Home Field category. Hopefully we can get off to a quick start, and they keep taking forever to get going. Get the crowd out of The Game, and take advantage of their lackluster defense, breakdowns in discipline, and occasional erratic throws.
November 24th, 2012 at 9:35 AM ^
Just a slight correction. Carry on.
November 23rd, 2012 at 9:26 PM ^
Some of the stupid in those comments are baffling as to how stupid they are.
"Braxton is in the Heisman conversation for a reason" uh, no he isn't. JThat's all Johnny Football, Klein, and Te'o.
"Gardner has only played three games chill he isn't that good" Yet, Gardner has put up more scores and better overall stats in those three games han Braxton did in his first three games this season. Oh yeah, and those three games were against a bad MAC team, a C-USA team, and the third worst Pac team.
November 23rd, 2012 at 11:34 PM ^
If I analyze this game based on the past three weeks, I say Michigan is the better team.
In 1993, a four-loss UM team going into The Game with momentum was the one-point favorite over an undefeated (once-tied) tOSU team (albeit at Michigan Stadium).
I sense the same situation.
You can't do any better than this (vs Iowa) for three quarters.
November 23rd, 2012 at 9:36 PM ^
"Te'o is only in the conversation due to hype and tragedy" Oooooooor it's because he's leading a defense CARRYING the Irish to a possible NCG, is second in the nation in interceptions, and will finish with over 100 tackles.
November 23rd, 2012 at 9:57 PM ^
That's what I'm naming my son, if I have another.
November 23rd, 2012 at 11:57 PM ^
Triplets and you don't have to worry - Devin, Desmond and Denard!
November 24th, 2012 at 1:53 AM ^
"I crossed the goal line and I say 'Hey. Fuck it.' And I did it."
November 24th, 2012 at 2:12 AM ^
Win. I haven't seen that in a while, such a great clip. They can't build a wall around Ohio because some great people, who come from such unfortunate places, want to escape to the greener pastures of Ann Arbor
November 24th, 2012 at 7:28 AM ^
Jay Crawford is a bigger OSU homer than Kirk Herbstreit...
...but the funny thing is that Jay Crawford went to Bowling Green State University.
November 24th, 2012 at 10:59 AM ^
went to Wright State, but says she's a Buckeye just because she's from Ohio.
(*FWIW, I went to Walsh College but diehard blue since age 6 when I discovered CFB.)
November 24th, 2012 at 11:09 AM ^
I don't mind people being fans of other schools, because not everyone can go to the big/famous schools. But it's just kind of silly that a BGSU alum is talking smack on OSU's behalf to a former Michigan player.
November 24th, 2012 at 11:10 AM ^
There is no law prohibiting anyone from being a fan of a team based on geography or where they attended school. Arguments about this are the most annoying thing about sports.
