DeShawn Sims to Celtics training camp
It looks like DeShawn showed enough talent to impress the Celtics - he was invited to their training camp. Like the article says, it may speak more to the C's need for front-court help but from watching the summer league games, Sims showed enough versatility on the court that he might have a chance of reaching the next level. He can be a decent backup forward with some good low post moves and shooting ability
This is a shame. The C's already have one undersized big man in Harangody that they drafted. They are really high on Harangody and it's unlikely they would take a 4th PF on the team unless He proves he can play the SF. I wish he was attending a camp like New Jersey or Golden State where they have quite a few open roster spots and maybe an opportunity at PF.
If the C's don't sign him I could see Sims tearing up the D league and getting a shot with an NBA team at some point during the year. Best of luck to DeShawn.
