Derrick Walton Jr. impressing with Orlando Magic

Article from the Detroit News on the subject. Looks like he's had a good SL showing so far. For any redditers out there, if you go to the Orlando Magic sub-teddit they're raving about him. Want him signed ASAP and think he has potential to contribute off the bench this year. Great to see and hear, major props to DWalt for taking advantage of this opportunity.
Walton could very well carve out a DJ Augustin-like career.
I figure he can be what Mateen Cleaves was supposed to be, with the expectations from a UDFA being far more generous than that of a mid first pick.
"Very active, unselfish, has shown great playmaking ability, makes the right play and his offensive game is all-around very good. Doesn't force anything really. Must work on shooting the NBA three though, but that should come pretty quickly with how good of a shooter he was at Michigan" ---- "His ability to run an offense is incredible. Very good change of pace, patient on pick and rolls, has a good jump shot. He just looks like an NBA point guard out there. We need guys like that. We have a lot of talent but DWJ is just a basketball player if that makes sense. Seems like he does everything well"
it all sounds familiar around these parts. p.s is there any way to out a line break via the app?
honestly, the only reason he didn't get drafted was because he was a graduating senior
And short.
He's secretly 6'10"
Deserves and will earn a spot. Kid flat out works hard. Would fantastic if he gets a contract. Pulling like crazy for him.
GO BLUE!!
We need a PG that can shoot. Reggie Jackson can't shoot and has tendinitis which does not improve with age, so he won't be as lethal on the pick and roll. I want DW to succeed, but I am totally hoping he somehow ends up in a Pistons uniform.
Serious baller.
I dont know i have ever seen more than Walton, a kid who the light just seems to go on for..He figured out his game and has kept improving ever since..its been impressive to watch
Fans on their SBNation blog are likinh him too. most seem to want him signed to be a third guard off the bench.
Averaging something like 10 points on 49% shooting, 3 rebounds, 3 assists in 21 minutes per game.
