Now, you may be asking yourself if this picture is worthy of its own thread. The answer? Yes, yes it is.

Josh Helmholdt pretty much said this as well:

"We were taking pics of kids by college and when Michigan came up - Derrick Green insisted on being in the picture.  He was posed with, 'but you're not a Michigan commit' to which he responded something like, 'i want to be in the photo'".

Commence joy.

When all is said and done, I think we'll look back and be surprised Dymonte Thomas wasn't more highly rated. I think he's the gem of this class and will be the best of the bunch.

I agree with you 100%.  Dymonte might be around a top 100 guy, but I see him as more of a top 20 kid.

If Jarrod can handle FS the next 3 years, and we get 1 year of T. Gordon at SS with 3-4 more from Dymonte - that will be a sick group of safeties.  Hell, Dymonte could play this year for all I know.

I posted this a couple of weeks ago:  I find it interesting that there have been reports of several new offers going out to 2013 recruits, but I can't recall any going to a running back.  That fact alone makes me think Mr. Green has whispered something into the ears of the Michigan coaching staff.  My only fear is that he's waiting to see if someone else sweeps him off his feet.

I'm surprised by how filled out Lewis looks.  Baesd on his numbers I'd expect him to look a lot thinner.  And, has anyone noticed Fox looks like a 40 year old man?  It looks good for Green...c'mon!  I'm really looking forward to seeing Thomas play!  Anyone think he starts next year?

What an awesome life to be an offensive lineman about to enter college.... Eat all you want, girls, help with school, blowing up D linemen... Man if I had to do it again I'd have eaten a lot more and been an O lineman.

I think it's definitely awesome when you are about to enter. It's the 5 years of extreme pain unlike any other position group experiences that make it difficult. My roommate was a left-tackle and had countless injuries, none ever reported to the media. I watched this kid experience so much pain and then play every Saturday.

Have to say that I am extremely happy that Dymonte is already enrolled for next semester. Not that I was ever worried about him decommitting, but that extra spring practice will prove to be invaluable for a guy like this. He's the kind of guy that looks like he'll be too good to not have playing time next year.

He might be the recruit I'm most excited about in the current class, even more so than Shane. While I don't pay too much attention to the specific strengths and weaknesses of each recruit, everything I've heard about Dymonte is a consensus of he's fast, and perhaps most importantly to me, he hits hard.

Dymonte Thomas is going to be special. Plus as a guy with very little neck I appreciate his lack of a neck.
