Derrick Green knows where he's going.
"Ohio is like a giant turd that Michigan just can't pinch off"
When it comes to Green, I like to remember the old Ziploc commercials: Yellow (technically Maize) and Blue make Green. Let's hope that Ziploc was right all along!

go ahead and say what you want
bury me in Bolivia if I am wrong
Based on the time you posted this I'd say there's no chance you're wrong
We're all assuming he's Blue at this stage. We just want him to make it official so we can overreact about the next big recruit thats on Coach Hoke and company's radar befor NSD.
Reporter: “Did you visit the Parthenon while in Greece?”
Shaquille O’Neill: “I can’t really remember the names of all the clubs we went to.”
running OMG shirtless during the Army bowl? Probably made Thomas Gordon and Marvin Robinson envious.

Erric Pegram agrees.
I had to Wiki that name. The nickname mean green could have dual meanings if he played there

consumed my first ever McRib yesterday, already craving another
oh and WOO, please committ Derrick
I'm just wondering how you unofficially consumed your previous McRibs...
I don't know why but his highlight film is underwhelming me. He doesn't look particularly fast or the kind of guy that can cut ona dime. Does anyone else agree after watching his tape? I know he's been offered by everyone so there must be something there that people are seeing. I know he has prototypical NFL tailback size, but so did Kevin Grady when he was a recruit.
Every time an MGoBoard poster complains about a thread topic, God kills a baby panda.
The few times that he does really break away, he does seem to have decent speed for such a big guy (and certainly faster than Deveon Smith). 4.3ish speed? Eh, I don't see it unless the competition he plays against is so good that they can just make him look slower by comparison. However, he does have very good acceleration. Once he sees an opening, he gets up to top speed very quickly to me. He can make a move in traffic as well, but he doesn't make the open field Reggie Bush type cuts that you often see out of top flight RB recruits. He tends to just head straight up field. His running style does seem very mature. Overall, I'd be increadibly pleased with him at UM. I do think he is the most complete and explosive back we would have on our roster, not to mention a completely college ready body.
I somewhat agree, which is why I'm not as high on him as others. I don't think he's the type of guy who can carry a team on his back without a good offensive line. There are guys who can create on their own because of their speed, vision, and cutting ability, and he's not one of them. It sort of confuses me why Rivals thinks he's the #1 back in the country.
HOWEVER, I do think that if he committed somewhere like Alabama, Michigan (with the line it's building), or Wisconsin (with the way they've blocked in recent years), he could have a very good career like Montee Ball.
Is he the most talented pure running back in the nation? Not in my opinion, because there are several guys I'd put above him. Could he end up having the best college career? Possibly, if he chooses the right school.
The carry the team on his back reference reminded me of this. I'm not going to embed it because some users probably wouldn't appreciate the language in it, but I think it's hilarious.
Marshawn Lynch puts the team on his back
“When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing” - Bo Schembechler
Lacy for Bama - very solid player who can leverage a good line. Strong, relatively fast, single cut, some wear on the D after 15+ carries.
Ultimately, we need a Hurd or Mixon to complement a Green and fully stress the D.
"Everybody wants to be a hero, so to speak. But it takes everybody." - Charles Woodson
What did you think about Ty Isaac? I wasn't impressed with what he showed in terms of power or quickness. He never really got in a position to show if he had top end speed.
I like Ty Isaac, but the blocking was terrible in the Under Armour game. The offensive line was much better in the Army Bowl. Plus the production of the UA game was so terrible that it made it even more difficult to get a gauge on Isaac.

I'd like to think Michigan has this in the bag, but a 18 year old's mind can change at the drop of a hat. And I know he's wanted to play in the South.
But ohh, that offensive line he'd be running behind here....
