What say you?

Amazing...only 6 of the entire 85 scholarship players are out of eligibility after this year...amazing. Have we ever had a younger team? To think we have a chance of winning 8 or 9 games this year is incredible..

1. Perry Dorrestein
2. John Ferrara
3. Steve Schilling
4. Greg Banks
5. Adam Patterson
6. Obi Ezeh
7. Jonas Mouton
8. Martell Webb
9. Renaldo Sagesse
10. James Rogers
11. Mark Moundros
That's more than six.

I can't believe that premium message boards would be wrong, because they're premium.
October 25th, 2010 at 1:19 PM ^
Constructive.
October 25th, 2010 at 1:30 PM ^
+1 for the quick turnaround.
October 25th, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
Don't buy into it. He's obviously a bot...
October 25th, 2010 at 1:30 PM ^
Also, Will Campbell and Q Wash still in their same old places.
Edit: Press conference says this is wrong.
October 25th, 2010 at 1:18 PM ^
But what is their connection?
October 25th, 2010 at 1:19 PM ^
to start at MLB?
October 25th, 2010 at 1:33 PM ^
It says Kenny or Obi on the chart. Kenny is listed first though. Not sure if anything is to be read into this, but I would assume that his play will get him the start vs. PSU.
October 25th, 2010 at 1:21 PM ^
1) Premium message boards never said Vinopal would start.
2) Obi was listed ahead of Demens for Iowa.
October 25th, 2010 at 1:32 PM ^
"This has been dropped on the premium boards" was in the earlier post, but since I've never paid for "premium" access maybe that meant something other than what I assumed.
Interesting that Obi was listed ahead of Demens for Iowa. So much for official depth charts, I guess.

I am a member on Scout but not rivals. No insider ever said Vinopal would start and I didn't see anything like it when I was scanning topics on rivals
October 25th, 2010 at 4:34 PM ^
We should share info sometime; I'm a member of Rivals, and not Scout. Rivals didn't say S$%t about Vinopal. Seems we need to have a talk with the "Vinopal to start" OP...
October 25th, 2010 at 1:26 PM ^
It won't load on my computer. Can someone copy the relevant parts?
October 25th, 2010 at 1:30 PM ^
I love it when the coaches lie on the depth chart. Paterno will have no idea what him when all of the world is revealed to the power of the Vinopal...
One smile and he will put you in awe...
October 25th, 2010 at 1:34 PM ^
That is one gritty smile.
October 25th, 2010 at 1:37 PM ^
But too gritty?
I think not.
October 25th, 2010 at 1:42 PM ^
That is one gritty as fuck smile.
October 25th, 2010 at 2:24 PM ^
What smile? I must be having trouble with my viewer. All I could see was a picture of a Lion Tamer.

I posted this in the original Vinopal thread but I think it probably belongs here instead:
Before we get ahead of ourselves, I just want to take a quick look at where this rumor came from.
Correct me if I am wrong, but, this came from a poster at Scout who posted on their premium message board that he heard this was happening but never said from where he heard it was happening. Tom Beaver said that scout would take a look at it to see if it is true.
Then, someone created a thread about this on Rivals after presumably reading it on either Scout or Mgoboard and then that thread was quickly deleted by their mods. No Mod on either Rivals or Scout has commented on this rumor other than to say "we will look into it".
Today's depth chart looks the same per Tim's twitter. C Gordon at FS with Vinopal at 2nd string and then T Gordon or C Johnson at Spur.
Rich Rod said that Will Campbell was the only major position change. However, he also said that our safeties are prepared to play either position and that the Freshman DB's will be taking on an increased role in the secondary.
They could obviously be trying not to show their hand to PSU and Vinopal could still get the start. However, I bet Vinopal just gets some increased playing time.

us Mgobloggers got our panties in a wad for nothing? Lesson learned.
Hot off the premium board press RR was fb chattin with Scott Schafer today!
October 25th, 2010 at 2:02 PM ^
I was actually excited to see what Vinopal could do back there and how Cam Gordon would do at spur (I believe that's correct but I always get confused with the names of these safety hybrid positions)
October 25th, 2010 at 2:20 PM ^
I don't expect Vinopal to start, but the posted depth chart isn't always 100% accurate, either. Some playing-time decisions aren't made until late in the week.
October 25th, 2010 at 4:37 PM ^
1.) What does the Depth Chart mean then? If coaches don't have to be honest, why even list it?
2.) While I'm at it: what the heck does FWIW mean?
October 25th, 2010 at 4:44 PM ^
1. Posting a depth chart on Monday is standard practice. Most of the time it is accurate, but sometimes there are situations where two players are in close competition, and things change over the course of the week.
2. FWIW = "For what it's worth".
October 25th, 2010 at 5:55 PM ^
Under kick returner, it lists Jeremy Gallon as 6-8. There's no way he's that tall.
October 25th, 2010 at 6:24 PM ^
It appears as though he's still 5'8 while returning punts. Just not during kicks
October 25th, 2010 at 7:36 PM ^
When RR asks his guys to rise to the occasion, it's not just a cliché.
