He takes a lot of heat, some of it is justified but a lot of it is not. No player in recent memory has been put on front of the media like Denard has and he handles it perfectly every time. He has never stuck his foot in his mouth and makes one hell of a rep for the program and the school.

Say what you want about Denard's performance today and not scoring a TD but he was able to put us in a position to win in the face of adversity. And it's great that we have such great representatives of our University on our team. IT'S GREAT TO BE A MICHIGAN WOLVERINE!!!
Clutch Throw
He made a lot of old decisions today, not forcing throws that weren't there. I would have liked to have seen him tuck and run a couple times, but that's just nitpicking. The wherewithal to find Dileo, in soft triple coverage, was as clutch a throw as anyone has made for Michigan in a long time. I am so happy for him - he deserves this win. I don't want to hear any Sparty talk again about how Denard is a poor quarterback, because that pass was incredible. Go Blue!

It was odd seeing Denard as a game manager, grinding it out like that. I was really impressed with him. The one pick was in end of half garbage time and they played him tough.
This was one of the best team wins I've seen Hoke put together. Special teams holy shit, with the exception of the Hagerup shank and a few longer-than-I'-like-to-see returns it was stifflingly conservative and predictable. In short, fucking awesome. The defense was tremendous when it had to be and offensively Dileo was clutch. Borges also found the successful mix against a tough defense.

Gibbons misses the fg and all we'd be saying is how ineffective Denard was all day. He was bottled up. He made a ton of bad reads/throws. He made a couple nice plays but was really pretty lousy.

I still don't understand why Borges won't throw a bubble or two to loosen up the D at least. And we didn't see any mis-direction. And as far as 'bad-reads', I don't think it would have really mattered...MSU's LBs were just hyper aggresive against the run, and had us scouted cold. A read-option doesn't work if there's two guys flying in unblocked.
