I love me some Denard, but this is actually pretty hilarious. I guess you can say he made the right choice by sticking to football?
I thought that myself when I read that article that talked about a Data Scientist(tm)
Let us hope.
I really expected that by now, he'd have undergone surgery, and that arm would be in a soft cast.
He's still working out with teams right now. I'm sure he'll have surgery for it right after the draft.
The elusive bounce pitch. Gets 'em everytime.
Blame the injury. Healthy Denard throws a 2-seamer 120mph strike, sprints to the plate before the ball, turns and hits a home run.
more specific, a grand slam. Over the Pepsi Porch. Which he then runs out and catches before it lands.
He even bounces the pitch in the dirt perfectly with a huge smile. What's not to love about Denard?
Only his pitching
He made a good pitch. He was throwing it to Manti T'eo's girlfriend. She didn't catch it.
and a miss
but there was a tiny linebacker where the ball bounced. Denard can't help but throw in their direction .... I kid I kid, I love me some Denard too.
omg... take a few practice throws the day before.... geez....
He couldn't take practice throws the day before, he was in ATLANTA!!!
He made the right choice by sticking to football?? I wasn't aware he was ever considering playing another sport.
I saw Denard and first pitch and I knew it'd be hilarious.
Love the kid but someone needs to be throwing him the ball from now on.
that elbow must be crazy f'd up to throw that bad still. It's been almost 6 months.
I really don't want to believe Denard throws a baseball that bad.
What was wrong with that? The catcher barely had to adjust.
I blame Al Borges. Should have ran it in.
My Spartan Facebook friends are all sharing this video, mostly saying something along the lines of "Someone remind Denard that the Alabama game is over"....
Darn Trolls! >_<
Someone remind your Spartan friends that if they played Alabama no one would have watched it.
For that one.
Remember: it's their rivalry, not ours.
Denard had a wide open running lane. I really don't like the decision to throw in that situation.
Expect that when this video is revised, we'll see the Denard Robinson technique added and approved by the International Cricket Council. Once again, Denard Robinson proves that he can excel in any sport after just one lesson.
I do not have the talent or knowledge to create such a thing, but that would awesome.
Still way better than these:
I'm all for defending Denard, but were those that much worse than his? The Twitter founder, despite throwing like a girl, actually made it to the catcher.
not sure the year, but she looked good.
seriously, Carl Lewis never learns. That was almost as bad as his attempt at the national anthem at a nets game years back. He kept trying to get it right and butchered it entirely. At the end of that clip you see him gesturing for the catcher to throw the ball back so he can give it another go....give it up carl. Just stick to sprinting.
Also, I love the look Eric Davis gives the Cincinnati Mayor. That was priceless.
that's gotta be incredibly embarrassing.
"Bless You Boys" had a link to a throw which made Denard's first pitch something on par with names like Steve Carlton, Tom Seaver or Nolan Ryan. This is from a Korean game, but at least Denard was on the mound. The person in this video was barely 30 feet from the plate, from the look of it:
I bet that makes Denard feel better than he did better than some Korean girl. Super hot Korean girl, that is.

That's a strike in Williamsport, PA.
Mrs. Robinson trying to get it across the plate?
