The Jags drop another one in the 4th quarter. Denard: 1 rush for 12 yds, 1rec for 4 yds, 1 kickoff return for 23 yds (5 yds deep out to the 18). Henne: 9/14 for 70 yds, 0 td, 0 int. In other B1G news, 7 of Ricky Stanzi's 9 passes were caught (2 by the Lions).

He did indeed, and I think the Jaguars used hm sporadically in this role last year as well, at least to the point where I think he had a few tackles on special teams last year. I didn't think it was a bad tackle either really, although I will say I sort of sat on my hands hoping that Denard wouldn't get hurt on special teams coverage.

his rushing stats would have been 2 carries, 20 yds.

10 yds per carry?  I'd think this game did nothing other than to solidify a spot for Denard on the Jags roster.

For those who did see the game, how did the battle for the Jag's starting QB job go?  I thought Henne looked real good last week, but Bortels seemed to be the favorite of the PBP announcers on the telecast of that game.

For those like me who didn't get to see tonight's game vs the Lions, it'll be rebroadcast at 4 am Saturday morning on NFL Network.  Set your DVRs...

I was at the game tonight, but left a little early to miss the M & M concert traffic.

I was disappointed Denard didn't get more touches.  He looked good his two carries(1 was called back so not really a carry).

He looks like he could use a little more work pass blocking.  There seemed to be a little confusion where he lined up when is split out wide one play.  I sure hope everything woks out and he gets some carries this year.  I'm a big fan of Denards.

I think Henne looked fine and did a solid job.  Bordles started with a nice throw or two early then didn't impress.  Stanzi didn't have it - I had no idea he was in the NFL.

But the Dan and Brando were saying Denard was the Jags leading rusher in the preseason. I know they play back ups more but it's a resume builder for him if he has to shop his talents around. I don't know if there's a single player I'm rooting for more in the league than him. Go Blue!

There is literally a front page story on ESPN for Suh getting flagged for a single penalty. Seriously, fuck ESPN. They create and perpetuate these types of stories. It was a non issue and Suh didn't do anything even remotely bad. Why even promote that shit if not for obvious page clicks and to further an incorrect and obviously insane/stupid narrative?
