Denard salute

Submitted by Culverhouse on

Did anybody get a picture of Denard saluting the student section after the ND game? When he came back out and right as he headed back to the tunnel, he caught up with a few guys from the military and they all saluted. It was such an awesome photo opportunity, so I'm hoping someone on the board snapped a few pics...

No, but I did manage to grab a picture of the "You Mad Bro?" sign from college gameday as he walked by our tailgate. I believe that idea was developed on MGoBlog.

The sign that made me laugh the hardest was a little sign on a stick way back that said "Lee" with an arrow.  The guy holding it had it in a perfect position to point it right at Corso's head even though he was 40 yards back from the stage.  I thought that was pretty funny.

Damn, I'd pay good money for a shot like that. One of those huge pictures you can put over your fireplace. Especially because it is a night game, the contrasts would be great.

Isn't on there is because they were outside of Gameday, Gameday was VERY stingy about signs. My friends and I made about 10 of them, including "Let's get Denarded" and "HAIL yes" they both got tossed at the gate. We camped out all night in the rain starting at 1 AM first in line, it was an incredible experience, but safe to say I will never do it again. I was too dead to tailgate the next day, but they also threw out a few other entertaining signs from what I heard from people behind me. It was definitely an aMAIZEing day.

I love me some Denard, and I like what he's trying to do here, but his form is all wrong.  Upper arm should be parallel to the deck and forearm should be at a 45 with no part of the palm visible.  Also, hand should be at the brow, not at the top of the head.    Benny Hill's salute is actually slightly better form:

I am ready for my neg-bang.
