Denard in the NCAA 14 cover vote finals -- VOTE

Submitted by I Wrote a 4 Wo… on

Denard is (losing early) in the finals against Ryan Swope from Texas A&M. Everybody go vote & spread this around, or complain about how you don't want Denard on the cover because of the Madden curse(?)!

I'm sure Denard gets money off of this and has been promoting this himself, so let's give the man what he wants!

Go Blue!

A&M lead the earlier rounds, not sure how, but denard is currently holding a slight lead. Get the word out and tell friends to vote, or thousands of kids buying NCAA 14 will all have to Google Ryan Swope next year.

As of 3:30 CST both have over 28,000 votes with Denard holding a 100 vote lead. Don't let the A&M'ers catch up. They are like the MSU of Texas, you can't let them ever win anything.

Swope has the lead by a slim margin now.

I think it would really help if we could get the mgobanner switched for this week to a picture saying "VOTE FOR DENARD" with the link.

Sam and Ira probably know about this already, but I tweeted the link to them just in case and asked them to retweet it. Between the two of them, they have over 21,000 followers, so hopefully that will help tremendously (if they see my tweet).

Everyone tweet the link to them: @SamWebb77 and @michiganinsider.

Sorry.  I am going to the Toledo Walleye/Denard signing on Sat with my daughters who want stuff signed and to meet him.  I am not a big autograph guy but have paid the combo ticket price so I will have the opportunity.

What suggestions do you guys have for an item to be signed?  I have an older authentic helmet, but I don't really need to get that signed.  I have a Mike Hart and a Chris Perry signed jerseys through a charity auction.  I could buy a Denard jersey, but that is easy.

Since I don't really care about the actual autograph as mush as just meeting and thanking him for being him, I thought it would be funny to print out a picture of Vincent Smith and ask Denard to sign that to get his reaction to it.  It would be funny to have it say, "This isn't me" signed "Denard Robinson."

Thoughts?

It would be great if anyone deems this worthy of its own thread.

Thanks.

When Denard was here in AA, I had him sign the Michigan Daily from when M beat ND in 2010 (the original 'Heisman pose' picture).  I think it's cool to find something other than the standard football or helmet.  The V. Smith picture is pretty creative, but just think of what you'd want hanging up 10, 15, 20 years from now.

There are just too many people that hate Michigan.

ohio fans, state fans, notre dame fans. Plus all the SEC inbreds voting together doesn't help.

One way or another, Denard will be on the cover. I make custom covers. Hell, I have a custom Elvis Grbac cover on my Bill Walsh College Football for the Genesis.

I went over to Shaggy Bevo and asked some Longhorns to help. They are.

Denard is in the lead right now. Let's pray he wins this.

March 8th, but Denard is pulling away which seems pretty accurate when referencing his career. Ryan Swope is deserving of a Heisman according to Aggie fans, but didn't break 1,000 receiving yards this season. Denard is the quintessential pick for this cover and deserves it for the role model he is. Last I checked, Denard was ahead by almost 5,000 votes; a great sign, but he needs MOAR. Go vote, Go Blue!

Still have a big lead but if any of you have connections as previously mentioned, to Longhorn U.. now is the time to rally them.  Perhaps LSU too.. just don't want to buy a game with random white guy who ran a 4.3 40 so now he is a heisman winner in the eyes of Aggie country.

Not sure why this isn't being promoted more.  Having Denard on the cover of a video game is a great way to get up and coming children aware of Michigan and if EA sports, who kids buy games from year after year, gives us a cover athlete.  It raises awareness of our tradition more.  Just a thought.  Keep pushin that vote guys!
