Denard LOSING EA Sports vote

Submitted by dmoo4u on

Here is what TAM is doing..

going to https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php and creating a phony Community page.

Then go to https://www.facebook.com/easportsncaafootball?fref=ts and go to the settings icon in the top right and switch to the new account and vote. You could vote 100s of times from one single fbook account. When creating the community page you dont even need to put any of the info in or click skip.. just type in a name and create the page..

Send in more bots. I don't care if the bots eventually become self-aware and team up and destroy the world in a SkyNet type situation. At least we'll win this and not have to hear that "Gig 'em" crap.

who's no longer playing college football? Sure, having Swope be a candidate is ridiculous, given all the other much higher profile players across the country, but I would think they'd want a guy who's going to be playing college ball next season.

Why do other schools want to antagonize our computer guys?

Doesn't anyone else remember the ESPN poll where the Mgobotnet reached Skynet proportions with their ballot-stuffing?

For those savvy enough to create these macros, do whatever it takes to take this home.  There's no violation of NCAA rules here people...there's a reason Denard lost a 16000 vote lead over night, TAM was doing the exact same thing.

We clearly have the smarter engineers no?  GO!

Shhhhh.....don't tell Denard.  He's too good of a person and doesn't want us cheating.  I already promised not to call him about it, so we're all good.  But if this is a dream of his from his childhood, I think we owe it to him for all the great memories he has given us.

and let them know what;s going on. If they just look at the voting results starting last night it will be obvious there is cheating.

If we can get 100 tweets and emails and keep it up for a couple days they will notice. We should also tweet a link to the A&M cheating video. I'm at work so can't do anything now.

But if someone can get the ball running that would be great...

EA wins with this, because of the interest in "voting." It just doesn't matter that much to me.

But beyond that, I hate the argument, "if they're cheating, then we'll cheat and beat them at their own game." Don't do that.

I agree EA wins on the attention end of things.

That said, once the rampant cheating gets involved then it morphs from a one click/one vote scenario to a competition between the computer savvy at both schools and the relative enthusiasm of those individuals to control the vote and, ultimately, the narrative.

While I don't necessarily support cheating in most endeavors I look the other way when, on rare occasion, a Michigan lineman holds.

I see this more or less the same way...when TAM involved the cheating at a computer science level they started tugging on superman's cape....ask ESPN.

I am kind of torn on deciding something like this with an internet vote. I understand that it is probably a good way to interact with fans, generate publicity, and increase interest in the video game. HOWEVA, these things always end up with people flooding the system with bots and manipulating the vote. So what is the point?

I like Denard's classy tweet to not create fake profiles, but there is no way he can win without fake accounts to make up for what the asshole A&M fans have been doing. I don't use Facebook because I hate it, but used the wife's account to vote. I also created two bogus accounts to vote for Denard.

Anyone know what the actual end time of the vote is today?  All I have seen is that it ends on March 8th but not at what time it ends. Hopefully sooner than later given the current vote results.
