Devin really had great potential as a QB.

Think about this: No other QB was actually developed to the point where they even looked like they should be throwing the ball, much less actually throw for a TD.  Developing DG is one of the major dissapointments of the Hoke era, and probably the top reason he's not the coach now.

2016 is the 50th anniversary of the franchise. Plus LeVar Burton's daughter is a Michigan student, and Jonathan Frakes plays the trombone (though he's a Penn State alum)...I smell a TNG reunion! Cool story, bro: I was in the MMB when Patrick Stewart conducted us. I recently got a picture of him conducting the MMB signed by him at a con. His face lit up when he saw it and he remarked on how much fun he had doing it and what a great day it was.

Very cool indeed, and I do like that shirt actually - "M Student Veteran". I may have to get one myself.

I know this was discussed the other day, but I don't think anyone is surprised by the flow of former Michigan and even non-Michigan players and personnel in and out of Schembechler Hall for visits now. This is one of the tangible aspects of the so-called "Harbaugh Effect", I would say.

Whether he's still there after the draft and camps and preseason cuts is another question.  But he wasn't one of the cuts after this season, isn't one of the 10 guys signed to their "futures/reserve" group, has been back and forth from their practice squad a couple of times, and I think this last time he was taken from Philadelphia's P.Sq. to move back on to their active squad.  Sounds like they like him, so here's hoping.

I received a football matching that exact description from Make-a-Wish before we went to Disney for my son's wish. Did you donate it by any chance? They do a family profile and send little pre-trip gifts based on what each family member is in to. M football was my thang. (PS: My son is done with treatment and doing great!)

Myself and a couple fellow history majors would sometimes drive up to Ann Arbor when we had to write our research papers/ thesis' (Theseus? Thesii? anyway) to use the Stacks at Hatcher...a much larger variety of books and media for most of our topics than our campus library had on hand, so it was the best way to knock out a bunch of research on a weekend, as well as an excuse to get some good food in Ann Arbor.

Anyway, one of these trips (I believe it was Spring 2011) my friend and I had just finished up lunch and were heading back. Driving down South U, we stopped at the crosswalk by Ulrich's and a pedestrian was approaching the crosswalk. He didn't really notice me there and was walking into the crosswalk, but looked up and kinda caught himself. I waved him through anyways and got the most beaming smile I think I had ever seen in return...it was Denard.

I drove on toward State and once we got to the light we both looked at each other and exclaimed "Holy shit...that was Denard Robinson!" Made my day.
