Umm... I want to be a program where this would actually be big news. It wasn't too long ago that it could have been (Mario Manningham returning would have been big). We're almost there though. Go Blue

I'm apparently in a small minority, but I actually think this is big, good news worthy of the hype. These announcements are unpredictable and, as we know, can blindside fan bases with crappy news.
<br>Our multi-year starter, Heisman candidate QB is returning for his senior season. Cheers.

A QB like Denard will never win a Heisman in this offense.  Luckily, Denard will be the first to say he doesn't care.  That is what has been most impressive about Denard's loyalty to the maize and blue.  He could have transferred to Oregon, for example, and been a Heisman frontrunner as a redshirt junior next season.  Instead, he chose to stay with his "family" at Michigan.

We owe Denard Robinson an unpayable debt of gratitude.  He sacrificed any shot at the Heisman to stay in Ann Arbor.  How many people would do the same in his situation?

Brandon Graham coming back after 2008 was a bigger deal than Manningham would have been, IMO. Especially given that we'd just had a horrific season.

TWICE....

Oh yeah, and it was written in one of those singing cards from Hallmark and had "Beauty School Drop Out" from Grease playing through the tiny speakers when you opened up the card.  It was pretty sweet.

Denard was having so much fun at the hoops game on Wed night - you knew he was coming back. Thank God this is a not a head scratcher like Shazor, Warren and a few others who left early.

I guess theoretically I could see Denard leaving and getting drafted... somewhere, but Floyd?

I think every LSA junior on campus could make an announcement about returning for their senior year with as much hype as JT Floyd.

"I'd like to announce that I'll be finishing out my final year for the Chemical Engineering Program. Professor Farnsworth has this department headed in the right direction and I'd like to finish out my career here on top." ***Cue Brandon Blog Entry, New Beakers with Yellow Stripes Down the Sides, and Domino's Sponsorship of the Chem Building.***

....they greyshirted me in the  neuroscience program because the program requirements were going to change in the winter 1997 semester and I needed the time to get other courses out of the way, so I did my JUCO stint almost exclusively at Angell Hall.

I must inform you that I will not be coaching the U of M football team. Brady Hoke seems to be returning ahead of me. That is more probable than these two going pro. Take off the maize glasses for those buying the bull. Denard wanted to know "if" he will move to special team or receiver in a draft I would bet. Floyd needs a drug test. I can maybe see Denard having a good year and getting a special teams job. He has the talent there, but durability would be a risk. He is phenomenal in games against lower talent. I think he does kick butt coming up this year!

Floyd is going to be, whether you like it or not, one of the Big 10's top corners in the whole package of being a cornerback next year. He's got the same company as Ricardo Allen (Purdue), Johnny Adams (MSU), Darqueze Dennard (MSU), and Roby/Howard (Ohio), and that's it. Seriously, the Big 10 doesn't have many returning stars for cornerbacks next year.

He showed to be pretty darn good in man coverage, especially as the year progressed. He really only got torched a few times by Posey and Coale, but that's it. He's definitely got to work on his willingness to come up in run support and to avoid being blocked down the field. But, if he works on those things and maybe improves his technique (I hate his horrible backpedalling-with-45-degree-hip-angle thing), he could be pretty damn good in the Big 10. Probably not draftable, but one of the better corners.
