Fourth time a player has ever received that award twice in one season, and I'm pretty sure the only guy to do it back-to-back.

Speaking of awards, has anyone ever won both the Doak Walker and Maxwell awards in one year? Because at this rate Denard will end up with both of them.

Never even considered that. I don't know if they would give him both since he's technically a QB, but lets not get ahead of ourselves here. There's a lot of season left to be played. Interesting thought, though.

I'm sure somebody has won both the Doak Walker and the Maxwell in the same year, but I doubt anybody has ever landed the Doak and the Davey O'Brien.

My apologizes, plenty of people have probably won the Maxwell and Doak Walker. I confused the Maxwell with the Davey Obrien awards. You've got it right.

I don't see how Denard wouldn't receive POW honors with these stats. It's just ridiculous. I can easily see him winning it the next two weeks, too. It's a treat to watch Shoelace this season, and its only just begun.

Denard certainly deserves it. Denard would be the first to tell you that really it's a team award. It's great to see all of our players blocking all out and catching clutch passes. Amazing to be a Michigan Wolverine.
