Demens tackle
speaking of gifs, in my head this would be perfect: gif of the bomb from gardner to roundtree, then pat fitzgerald spliced in when he was hopping up and down celebrating the late hit.
i could probably watch those two in succession until forever.
Omnes i facere est vincere
But it'll be tough to top B. Graham's tackle of one Glen Winston.

I disagree. Maybe from a technique stand point, but in terms of what the tackle meant, Demens' is head and shoulders a better play. That hit means we're still in the hunt for a Big Ten title and a chance at the Rose Bowl.
Beat the Hawkeyes.
The re-read my comment. We weren't talking about the "biggest play". The op was fundamental, form tackle, so...

Had to walk around Chicago with wifey ran back to hotel and its the only play I saw. Beautiful
GO BLUE!
One man...Goodbye....Hello Heisman
Make sure nobody spoils the rest of the game for you.

you need to see Roundtree's catch to set up the game-tying FG.
Taking it one week at a time
SPOILER ALERT

After watching tackling that was sometimes good and sometimes not so good, it was a great way to end the game. Also very good to see that the D stand tall after a tough day.
It's to the point that I expect the D will make plays like that--I'm still very happy, but I know they have it in them. That makes it much more fun to watch close games!
Nice solid form tackle. Ran right through him.
If I say a duck can pull a truck, shut up and hook the sucka up!
dont forget his tackle on 3rd down too.

Loved the play call. Bait NW into running a dive and throw more linebackers in there than they can block. Demens with a beautiful finish as well.

As Griese was saying presnap: It's the first-time Mattison pulled out the 3 down-lineman formation all game.
Well it was about fucking time he changed something up. They hung 30 on us at home.
"There was a time I could have been mistaken for Burt Reynolds. I had a moustache and so did he. But he was the number one star in the world, so there wasn't really much confusion."
It kind of reminded me of OSU last year. We are going to struggle against quick teams until our young and quick LBs gain some more experience and we get better athletes at safety/corner.
"They will meet a dastardly fate here for that! There isn't a Michigan Man who wouldn't like go out and scalp those Buckeyes right now."
Taylor needs more experience. Where was Avery all game? I don't recall seeing him at all. But them, Countess returning, Richardson, Ross Douglas, Wilson, Dymonte, etc. we won't have a problem at that position for years.

That was pure genius given the way NW would check the formation. I did look like an easy two yards in there. So smart to get it out of Colter's hands.
Demens with a beautiful tackle, but I really liked that formation Mattison had on 4th down.
But they had tight splits and were running that baby inside.
That was taking out 4 quarters of frustration BOOM!
Denied by UM multiple times, nonetheless lifelong M fan.
Love the Senior making two big plays in OT to win the game. That being said.....GO PSU!

i thought of BRANDAN GRAHAM when demens made that tackle.. good job for him for steping up after a poor showing in the pass coverage
that dude!
...confidence is the stain they can't wipe off...
I can't help but mention that the coverage on the go ahead touchdown was Demens. He made up for it nonetheless.
Class of 97
Well to be fair to him he's a LB and was matched up against their best WR.
If you're doing nothing, how do you know when you're finished?
They had the option set up on the other side but Black flew into the backfield. They had no choice but to run into Demens.
Better form tackle Demens today or Kovacs vs Western Michigan. Both just perfect technique.
Both are great, but Demens tackle won the game for us.

I'm just waiting for someone to make one where something funny happens to him as he is jumping.

An absolute death shot by Demens. He can wear whatever length shorts he wants from here on out.
"Are you ready to go to Pasadena?"
It was good. It was a better play call...at least as far as RPS is concerned. I could tell (no, I'm no football genius by any means) that NW wanted to run the ball up the "middle". G-Matt called a pretty neat play call there, as someone mentioned above, the LB's were loaded to attack the A-gaps with 3 down-lineman across the front. Great play all around
It's official, we are shifting to the 3-4 D afterall.
"Are you ready to go to Pasadena?"
It reminded me off when Brandon Graham destroyed that crappy state running back that went from jail to the starting line up. I can't remember any spartan running backs names. They're so forgettable.
All in for some manball.
Kovacs had the cutback and Demens was the spy on the left HB. Great play all around. Ryan was playing the gap to TE other side. We knew they were running and Demens kept his assignment. Great play!
In Hoke we trust...
Ross had another great hit late in the 4th quarter on a 4th down play. Great hit and form from a true freshman!

will be enshrined.
