Demar Dorsey's transition

Yeah, I know what you're thinking... This is just what we need; another Demar Dorsey thread, though I just wanted to make one quick point, and honestly, I didn't know which of all the threads to put this in... There are two things that should help Demar Dorsey's transition to college; he's away from home and he's with his cousin, who I have yet to hear anything bad about. Of course, the papers and Drew Sharp have yet to even mention this, which isn't much of a shock. Thing is, maybe going to Michigan, being away from it all, will turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to Demar Dorsey.

Is this a concern that we've been made aware of? Or is this speculation? Seems a little out of line to just speculate that he'd be academically ineligible.

FWIW - I actually met DRob two weeks ago Friday as I was driving out of AA and he was walking back from the Athletic facilities on S. State.

We spoke for about a minute as he signed an autograph for my 13 year old son and I snapped a quick pic on my cell phone to prove it was Denard's signature on the paper.

He was a very softspoken young man, took the time to sign "Christian, Go Blue, Denard Robinson #16". I wished him well in the coming season and thanked him for taking the time to make my son's day. He smiled for the snapshot and continued on his way.

From that very brief time, he was unpretentious, kind and definitely a very nice kid.

Maybe having Dorsey will keep DRob from considering transferring out too if he gets buried in the QB depth chart or has some difficult adjustments to a new position.

I can't believe you would suggest D-Rob getting buried on any depth chart. The coaches will get him on the field one way or the other, and if they don't they probably won't be around long. Like Brian has said multiple times, I would make Shoelace the slot/RB hybrid and jet sweep him to death.

How many stupid things did we all do in highschool? Its part of being a kid. Granted, I didnt commit burglary but there were a few occasions that my parents had to come pick me up a the police station and a few other issues (none of which resulted in charges being filed). Its part of growing up....the kid should be given a chance to do the same.

I know that some people are going to disagree with everything that RR does but the kid should be left alone. I find it really disheartening that grown adults will put a college recruit down just to show their dislike of RR. I honestly did not think the media would go to that level.

mp,
I did the same thing. I grew up in the Flint area in
the late 70's. We used to go out and raise all kinds of hell, and never got caught, that's just what we, and a lot of people did. This generation is doing nothing that hasn't been

he didn't know he'd get a media colonoscopy as a welcome

The military was a structured way of life, similar to
what he's going to see at UM on the team.
I listened to that F#$kstick at the Freep's bashing of
the kid. I just can't understand why he still has a job,
with that chicksh%t, Busch league journalism.
I just hope Dorsey hits the Mgoblog, and sees what the
