Ex 5-star Michigan DB recruit Demar Dorsey will play for Hawaii this yr. A source confirmed he'll arrive at UH in late July.

I know some of you don't really care about updates on recruits that never made it, sorry.

Just thought this was interesting to post since some of you really wanted Hoke to re-recruit him

If this is true I 'm very happy for Demar. I really would have liked for him to have been able to play for UM, but I am just happy he seems to be making really good progress as far as his life goes. Good luck Demar!

something tells me he didn't go to Hawaii because of their jugernaut program.  Whatever the reason, not a bad place to go to college.

He wanted a chance to play football and he wanted to get away from the bad influences that surrounded him in Florida. Part of that disappeared when GRCC closed their football program, now he's about as far from Florida as he can get. Best of luck to the young man.

Wish him success and hope he keeps his school work up so even if nothing happens for him on the field he can be prepared off the field.

I was going to make a Pearl Harbor joke, but I was afraid it might be too explosive.

Maybe if Demar does well enough they'll rename an island Dorsey'i.

I wonder if he'll be doing general studies or if he'll choose something more Pacific.

That's all I've got. Punny != funny, I know.

Though I prefer to think that they didn't do it on purpose. They just got really, REALLY lost between Indonesian islands. And the wife is all, "pull over and ask directions," and the guy is like 'no, I got this. This is a shortcut. Quit back-seat steering."

His ex-coach at GRCC (now HC at FSU, NTFSU) told me he was going to a JC in Kansas... next season after GRCC folded sports. I am happy to see he is landing someplace a little more promising. I inquired about AZ recruiting him to the rivals AZ contact and never heard a response. This kid isn't the best character kid in the world, that is a fact, but he could make a living playing ball and hopefully grow up a little along the way. Good luck to him.
