Hollowell was the other commit that I was talking about today. He committed last Sunday, and didn't want it reported yet, but leave it to Scout to ruin that for him. I just talked to him about an hour ago, to see if I could report it, and he said he didn't want to yet.

I'm lukewarm on Hollowell. Based on high school videos I've seen, I'd take Cissoko and Mathis over Hollowell. I'm guessing Hollowell will be a 3-star once the ratings come out. He has excellent hands, but I'm not impressed by his speed or his size. It's not a good thing when a 5'8" corner has questions about his speed, but maybe he just looks slow because the turf in the PSL is manicured only slightly better than a cow pasture.

When Rodriguez calls you on your cell phone and asks you your opinion on a recruit before he commits, you need to answer. We all are well aware of your expertise and insurmountable importance. What shall we do now Magnus? Please tell us. Do we burn a couch? Start an internet meme against this decision? Gnash our teeth? WHY GOD!? WHY DID WE HAVE A CORNERBACK COMMIT THAT MAGNUS IS LUKEWARM ON. THERE IS NO GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ummmm...the guy asked me a question, and I offered my opinion. You are welcome to take it or leave it. I didn't realize that answering a question honestly would cause you so much unrest. I apologize ahead of time for not being head-over-heels for every single recruit. If Hollowell is All Big Ten in a few years, feel free to point out my mistake and laugh at me. I will gladly accept the egg on my face if Hollowell turns out to be good - I'd love it if EVERY Michigan recruit turned out to be a Heisman candidate, but obviously that won't happen.

I think we're all pumped to have Delonte. If Rich wants him then he is probably a good player. It is however ironic that some posters said they didn't want Mathis because he is too short. Well Mathis is 5"8 and runs 4.4, while= DH is 5"8 and runs 4.7. Glad to have you on board Delonte!

I am on the record as not being a fan of Cissoko or Mathis when they were coming out of high school. A lack of height in a cornerback scares me in the Big Ten. There are certain skills that can make up for a lack of height, but overall, taller = better, in my opinion.

Sorry, but I am NOT "amped" about D. Hollowell, just as I was not interested in getting D. Mathis, nor was I "pumped" about B. Cissoko despite his high ranking. This is why I am really disappointed that we appear to have lost out on Tony Grimes. Good size (5'11") and physical play is what I like to see in CB's. Still, I welcome D. Hollowell to the Maize and Blue (as I do to all recruits who choose UM). Prove me wrong, Delonte!
