Definitely Not OT - EDSBS Charity Bowl (Michigan reigns as champion)

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

Already posted on the MGoBlog Twitter Account, but EDSBS has opened up donations for its annual EDSBS Charity Bowl. Michigan has won this for the last several years. Let's win it again!

Also, as they noted, our winning may or may not have directly led to Harbaugh coming to coach here.

I believe that Michigan has won every single year that EDSBS has run this event, typically by a large margin.

Unfortunately I can't think of a clever dollar amount to donate this year.  I tried HARBAUGH, but that wasn't accepted.

If we get $30K this year, we'll get your mascot tattooed on our body. No, for real this time. We'll do it. Please win again, Michigan, because a wolverine could be a badass tattoo, while anything else is a crapshoot. (Oh god, Notre Dame. Please don't. PLEASE. You didn't see this.)

Somewhere, Damefan is figuring out how much he can comfortably donate now.

He is right, of course - a wolverine would make a badass tattoo, and to that end, I just threw some money at the Charity Bowl myself because that needs to happen.

FWIW I looked at New American Pathways' 2013 990 and there are no red flags. Salaries for top staff are super reasonable, no board members are compensated, overhead/fundraising expenses are low. I can't speak for the quality of the work, obviously, but financially they look good.

Donated $28.24 in honor of M's win over Staee my senior year. Yes, the day I arrived on campus for my senior year was the day of The Horror.

$33.17

That was the score of my very first Michigan football game seen in person, when Michigan beat Northern Illinois my freshman year. It ain't flashy, but it gets the job done.
