But if our offense is so good we'll just start going for it on 4th and 10 on our opponents 11 yard line.

No punting.  No field goals.  Keep the defense off the field.

Can Gibbons play defense?  He's got the size right....

This must be an error.  With all the people around here who are pleased with our defense and encouraged by what they've seen, we simply can't be #100...

I keep hearing that the kickers do well in practice. We all know they are struggling in games.

My suggestion have an open half hour of practice at the big house tell everyone to sit in one endzone and have the kickers get used to people.

Watching that OT last night between ND and MSU scared the shit out of me  - it made me realize just how thin the ice is that we are skating on is. The chances of us winning in that situation are slim  - we can't stop a team from scoring, and we will likely have to score a TD every time. Our poor defense, and the coaching staff's lack of leadership and management ability to retain unhappy players - especially defensive players, is troubling on many levels, and hints as what could be persistent issue of concern for us, both for this season and years to come.

[Edited to not be so over the top. ]

I know you are a scarred Syracuse fan, and I feel for you.  But being an effective coordinator is different than being an effective head coach.  We have reason to believe that he is not the latter.  On the former, it's harder to tell given our youth and lack of depth.
