the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
Dee Hart Impressing at Gridiron Kings 7on7
He named Michigan his leader in an interview with Sam Webb: http://michigan.scout.com/2/986210.html (behind a paywall) and it was from this weekend.
2010 = Year of Justification and Redemption!
his recieving ability, Alabama is the only thing he'll be dropping.
"Son tell me if I'm right, but its probably better without a big ugly rectum in front of you, and there are some big ugly rectums here. Am I right?"
-Mike Barwis
By February, he'll be a month and a half into his college courses since he's an early enrollee. Hopefully, he'd be able to make a short walk to Schembechler Hall in February.
Whammy!
Hart reminds me of Adrian Peterson (Okla.). He has speed and power but he also sort of glides gracefully past defenders as they always seem a half step late to match his moves. Unless he gets hurt, he will be on the Heisman watch list as soon as he hits the field at Michigan.
Hart really isn't anything like AP. AP is a fucking horse. He just stiff arms linemen off him and runs through arm tackles. Hart is more of a shifty back where AP is more of bruiser with speed.
Also, I find it really hard to see being on a watch list soon. If he commits and plays next year, he'll almost certainly split time with Shaw, Cox, Smith, and Fitz. I think he'll probably be like a Harvin, spending time in both the slot and backfield.
I got a 23 and didn't get in. Of course I'm a 5'8 white guy that can't catch herpes at a titty bar. - Toledowolverine
dee hart IS a power back. dude runs over people like it's his job. like you, i don't understand the comparison to adrian peterson. just doesn't make any sense.
on another note, why the infatuation with mike cox? dude's been there for like 3 yrs and still can't learn the plays, i doubt he'll ever get serious playing time
he doesn't run well behind his pads, I'm just saying that their running styles are very different. AP is more of a stiff arm/truck style and Dee is a scat back. Not really a good comparison.
And I think most assume Cox has the physical tools and sooner or later he'll put it together. If that happens, who knows.

I think you meant Demtrius is more like Chris Johnson of the Titans(NFL).
Alittle slower then Chris, but similar playing style.

Can you believe he was a 2* coming out of high school?!?

EDIT: my intention is not to start a star debate
Just more evidence of how flawed the scouting ratings are, i don't go by that data. I know that some fans get all hyper over 5 star commits. I would take a solid performer that is a 1 star, then a dud that was rated 4-5 stars.
Edit: I also, don't want to debate it. Just supporting my stance.

on scout. he was a non rated WR.

He was a true sleeper, that's what gets me excited. when you find a diamond in the rough.

I was making those noises that Homer Simpson makes when he goes past the doughnut shop.

those noises that Homer Simpson makes when he goes past the doughnut shop
I would assume this would be DOH! as he realizes he missed his turn.
For me, one of the more exciting parts of Hart's game is his receiving ability as a receiver out of the backfield. In four-WR sets the RB would likely have a LB covering him out of the backfield. When reading about his pass catching ability, I see a 4 WR set with a slot running an in-cut, outside receiver running a fly/flag route with hart running an out cut. Get the RB running away from the LB (especially to the field side of the formation) and wait for good things to happen
Gridiron Kings is apparently on ESPN U at 330PM
Is it being live streamed anywhere online for those not fortunate enough to have ESPNU?
I really want to see Hart score a TD and do a backflip.

With all this talk of Dee Hart fucking.shit.up at camps, is a 5th star in the realm of possibility?
That would be nice, I guess, but all I really care about is stuff like this from his Rivals page:
RANKINGS
- Position: 2
- National: 34
- State: 7
and
SCOUTING REPORT
- Speed: Blue Chip
- Size: Division I Player
- Strength: Blue Chip
- Agility: Blue Chip
- Elusiveness: Blue Chip
Agreed! This post warms my heart like the recent post with Mike Martin's weight room exploits. I haven't exactly given up on the guys we have now at tailback (not at all, actually) but I've got to believe that Dee would be in the running for serious playing time immediately, especially with him wanting to enroll early and whatnot.
This guy is a nightmare for defenses when he gets in the open field and it would be great to have another Hart in the backfield again.
...is simply decide which helmet represents the most powerful visual statement, has the most gravitas and is worth the most from an educational perspective. If those criteria don't work for you, then which one looks the coolest? The choice is obvious!

I just noticed his weight for the first time when you posted that, 5 foot 8, 190 must be built solidly for his size.
...but Hart's size and weight isn't far from Barry Sanders. With a little Barwisizing, he'll be right up there in no time.
Barry was 5'8" and played at around 203, if memory serves.
Most recent observers have said he's probably put on 10 pounds and is probably around 200 lbs now. I've also heard several people from the state of Florida that have said he looks like he could easily put on another 10-15 pounds on top of the 200 without losing speed.
At that point you'd be talking about a 5'8" 210-215 pound back with good speed. Yea, I think we can work with that.

Hopefully we see lots of backflips in the next few years.
...update in the OP. Hart had two TD catches in the first half of the finals. HaHa had a 100 yd pick six.
Final score 36-0 SE over SW.

Hart reminds me of a slightly bulkier Brian Westbrook
go blue go
player we need to start having at the top of our recruiting classes on a regular basis again. As soon as RR gets back to 10+ wins a season these types of players should become locks a lot sooner. I'd like to see the 'Bama fans worrying if the players they want are going to drop Michigan from their top choices, not the other way around.

All in for Michigan
This is an amazing picture.
Keep believing
Dee and Desmond exchanging phone numbers is full of win. This can only be a good thing for Michigan, right?
On a side note... my sources* tell me that Kirk Herbstreit was also in attendance, and asked Dee Hart for his number. Dee responded with an emphatic, "Go Blue!", and then simply walked away.
*Just for the record, these sources exist only in my head.
Flush twice - it's a long way to Columbus.
Forgot about that Hart scrub *, does Desmond have any eligibility left? The man looks like he could still play if he wanted to!
*I kid, of course.

your next move is to drop Alabama.
Hoke bitches...Hoke.
