Dee Hart to announce on Friday

Submitted by BKFinest on

As per Rivals, this upcoming Friday. No press conference. No frills. Just going to text his decision to coaches that recruited him. Would be one hell of a coup for us. Hopefully he brings HaHa here with him. Both would be starters next year. Imagine Denard with Dee Hart in the spread offense? Nightmarish for opposing defenses....enough dreaming until Friday.

Quite aware, I just don't buy it at all. Don't know where Simmons got that, because they were heavily recruiting to use him as a slot/rb hybrid. Perhaps there's been some defense talk, but I highly doubt they were telling him they were going to move him to defense. If they were, it's the first I've heard of it. Of course, that would bode well for Michigan.

#1 overall back in all of Florida...we've had some luck with that state under RR. I honestly don't know how any top offensive recruit in the country wouldn't want to be a part of this offense.

any top defensive recruit in the country wouldn't want to be a part of this defense.  Playing time winnable if not a given and you can be a difference maker and contend for championships if not now very soon and get a UofM degree.

Please, please MI O yeah.

I know recruit's main priority should be the university they are attending, but kids want to play for the person that recruited them.  Once it's obvious RR will be back I think he'll get a nice jump in recruits coming to Michigan.  We already see the interest growing so just keep winning.

I believe as you do, that top  D recruits have a chance at immediate playing time here and can be part of something special as the offense will be coming back nearly intact for next year.

exactly are we keying in on this kid?  I've read (on this blog) that he's not a homerun threat, that he's more of a Leon Hart type.  Don't get me wrong.  I'd like to have another of him, but this kid isn't proven.  He's probably not going to be all that great...

But, still, CHOOSE BLUE SWEET DEE!!!!!!!

Should I know who this "Leon Hart" you write of is? I googled him. Turns out, "Leon Hart" won the Heisman trophy for ND as a tight end in 1949. So if Dee Hart is a Leon Hart type (i.e. Heisman trophy winner) then yeah, I'd take Dee Hart.

You post some pretty stupid shit.. unless you are being sarcastic and just aren't referring to it..

Not gonna be all that great?  Other then the fact that he is perfect for our system and put up like 250 rushing yards and another 100 yards in the slot/kick returns last wk

would be nice. just think him seeing how many young kids playing on this team bodes well for us. And with HaHa seeing how young our defense is - and how, uh, not good, our secondary is...can only bode well for our chances with him and hopefully another stud on D in the secondary..

I think the best thing is to tune in to WTKA tomorrow morning at 7:40 to hear Sam Webb's Recruiting Roundup. It is also available online at:

www.wtka.com      If you miss it you can listen to the podcast.

My guess is that Sam will be talking about his gut feeling. He will either affirm his strong gut feeling or he will tell you what he knows, without saying something to violate a confidence he has with the recruit.  I, for one, will be listening closely! People also forget that Dee is supposed to be a terrific return man. I think that Gallon is actually very good (if you watch him in practice). All these guys just have to relax a bit and things will fall into place. It's like golf. You look at the water and think "don't hit it in the water". The last thing in your mind is not to hit it in the water and that's exactly what you do. These guys have dropped so many kicks they stand there and say "don't drop the kick" and that's what happens.. When it just becomes second nature, it will happen.

You're right -- TomVH said it on his twitter today after the Rivals report came out.  But 4 days ago, he wrote in a mgoblog diary:

Here's another update on Demetrius Hart, since there have been quite a few questions about him recently. I last posted that he will be announcing his decision sometime next week. I spoke with Dee's mom and she told me that he will be making his final decision Tuesday of next week, or Wednesday at the latest.

So you're contradicting TomVH with a quote from TomVH?

Merely poking fun here, I saw both the blog entry, too. I'd be more inclined to trust his more recent comment since he could have said he was standing by his earlier report. Think we can agree that whenever the day comes, hopefully it will be a happy one.

I find it infuriating when posters make comments like "I'm not sold on him" about a recruit...especially on a widely known blog such as this one. Would it cause Dee to alter his decision? Probably not but its stupid nonetheless.

Dee Hart will start on day 1 unless Fitz is being significantly held back by injuries now and he explodes in the meantime.  Or unless Dee gets injured.  Tailback talent is as low as it has ever been since I started watching Michigan.

success with top ranked RB recruits.

Baraka was a major disappointment, Grady's career didn't pan out like anyone thought, Anthony Thomas was a stud, Tyrone Wheatley a stud.

I hope things work out for Dee, and its great that he'll be enrolled early.

For all you Facebook stalkers out there, I saw on another message board that Dee wrote something of interest on Ricardo's facebook page. I have not seen it for myself though.

An hour ago Dee wrote this

"My brother it's been awhile but from the heart you ready to join me as we take the world.....[ Go ****]"

and on Sept. 28 Dee wrote

"Go blue ayyeeee"

to which Ricardo replied

"I hear that lil bro"

Take it for what it's worth since it is FB, I am only relaying the info.
