Death of 2009?!

Submitted by The team the t… on

Many haters have pointed out the parallels this year’s team has had so far to last year’s squad.  A young inexperienced defense, a young QB, a 4-0 start against, possibly, overrated opponents, a QB who was banged up early in the season, and an Michigan DB hating god seeking vengeance.   Well, many of us have worried that this year may turn out similar once the Big 10 schedule came around.   I certainly feel this year will be dramatically different.  However, I began to wonder when Roundtree was tackled shy of the end zone again and, like the Illinois game last year, we failed to score only to surrender a soul crushing 99 yard drive for a TD.  With Robinson hurting again, I began to wonder if our worst fears could come true.  Meeechigan showed a lot of heart out there today and, I hope, has finally put the nail in the coffin of the horror of the past two years!   Our young D is showing signs of improvement, the O-line is excellent, the receivers and RB’s are talented and deep, and we have depth at QB!

Go Blue!

This is such an enourmous game coming up against Sparty. It will feel like a huge leap over last year if we win the next one. Last year we went into overtime with them, but they clearly have a better team this year. I'd like to see Shaw back.

Can't wait.

We need to defeat sparty.  There is no way they should take us out three consecutive years.  This is the game I want to see RR win!  May be the defense will be up more for this game and playing at home.  We passed our first big10 road test.  Now it's time to go home and take care of business.

that the only significant difference between this year and last year is the timing of the baby seal game.

Our better offense this year is negated by our worse defense this year.

Next week versus MSU is HUUUUUGE!

and we do need to make a statement next week.  It is a home game against a quality opponent that beat us around way worse than the score indicated last year.

They may be little brother, but in the process of developing, they look ahead of us.

A win would be huge leap in the building process going on here.
