Dear Troy Woolfolk,

Get better soon, and keep your head up.  The young guys are definitely going to need your guidance from the sidelines this year.  Come back next year stronger than ever.

Dear JT Floyd,

Time to lock it down, son!  Go get it!

Let''s all step back from the ledge. This defense is weaker than it was, but it still all comes down to the linebackers. And we're still better at safety than last year.

LET'S GO BLUE!!!!

I was planning on going to the gym tonight but once I got this news I went straight to the liquor store.

I don't mean to be Debbie Downer, but this is the worst possible thing that could happen to the team right now.  We all know we are thinner than paper at CB right now and now this?  Aside from 2 QBs, I'd rather sacrifice any 2 players on the roster than Woolfolk.

Cullen Christian, time to step up, kid.  If you can fill the role we need, we'll start calling you Cullen Christ.

Well, I hope Woolfolk isn't as down on his teammates as you are.  Who's to say that the freshmen can't step up?  And let's not forget that Woolfolk began last season as a safety.  He switched to corner a month into the season.  If he could do it and turn into a solid cornerback, why can't someone else?

but as far as the why can't another safety turn into a solid corner...i'd say it's because Woolfolk is better than any of our current safeties. And I'm definately not saying a freshman can't step up. I have a lot of faith in Cullen Christian, but I don't trust in players until they actually prove it. Even if he's good, a part of me doubts how good the freshman version of him will be. Really really good, I hope, but you just never know.

It doesn't have to be a safety that gets moved over.  Morgan Trent and Grant Mason started out as WRs.  Actually, I wouldn't expect a safety to make a good corner since they're normally less athletic.

By the way, you should update your signature.  The wins and winning percentage are out of date.

One player does not a defense make. Am I nervous? Sure. Was I confident before this? By no means. Henne stepped up as a freshman, so did Tate until his injury. I think our front seven was going to have carry most of the load anyway. Of course, the season is not over. The season is 17 days away. I can't wait for tomorrow's video!

Do you thinkn RR will take a look at a 35 year old walk on?  I was voted as defensive MVP of a 4 on 4 flag football tournament by my fellow team members 12 years ago!  I had like 4 picks and made the opposing QB throw his mouthpiece to the ground in frustration!!!!
