Dear Dantonio,

Thanks for passing on that second down. Couldn't have done it without you.

Sincerely,

the line opened at 11 1/2 and not sure where it finished. Outcoached our staff and probably had the game won.

Once again, DRob stinks against a good D and if not for the awesomeness of Dileo & Gibbons, your drowning your sorrows somewhere.

I have a hard time saying that they out coached us on special teams, on the basis of the fake punt, when you consider that the field goal they missed were the points difference in the game. Add to that that our kickers were four for four, which still continues to be an amazing COACHING story, considering what Gibbons had to come back from after his experience with the prior coaching staff.

This is true. There's really no way to say that they won the special teams battle today, not with the way the game turned out.

HOWEVA, it was indeed terrible to not be ready for that fake punt.

HOWEVA HOWEVA, it is also pretty funny that Sparty sacrificed yet another pre-Michigan game (what are they, 1-4 now in the week before Michigan?) and got nothing for it.

I'd say the coaching advantage goes to us.

Ready for a fake punt?  Inside their own 25 yard line?  I give credit to Dantonio for having the balls to call that up, but I'll give our ST coach a pass for not looking for a fake punt in a one point game with lots of time left in the 4th.

The bright side is that Sparty burned that play for nothing and now won't be able to dial it up again.  We also didn't have to see the post game interview where he sits there with that stupid smirk on his face telling us what that play was called.  I wonder if he feels complete now?

but neglect to mention that he doesn't throw the ball to himself.  Is Denard frustrating at times.......yabetcha.  We played the only defense on our scedule that is capable of stopping us and walked out with a huge win.

All brunettes are not pretty but they are still brunettes

He handled us... but then he decided to throw the ball while trying to close out the game. He runs on that play and I think we run out of time before kicking the FG. Our coaching staff is as good as Les Miles when it comes to clock management.

realize that we won the game, right?  This is what MSU have done in all their games this year.  Their defense has kept them in every game they played.  The Vegas line of over a touchdown was ludicrous from the start.

You can give credit to Dantonio for a lot of things.

But not for having his team ready to play. It's Sparty. Their obsession with Michigan is disturbing. Pathological. They're going to be ready for the game even if Perles or JLS or Izzo is coaching them. The history shows they're always ready to play us, no matter who the coach is. I'd think that they gave their players some weird Ludovico/Dollhouse hypnotic conditioning, except that I've met plenty of Sparty fans who have the same inferiority complex/obsession/paranoia syndrome.
