DeAnthony Arnett

Submitted by Swenet1111 on

So Dee Arnett was rumored to be at the Michigan Game in the Big House today to see Roy Roundtree catch 9 passes for 246 yards, a Michigan Record. However, on Arnetts twitter he said:

Good mourning world.... I'm up early about to get some breakfast.. Surprise school was Boise state lol I hope they beat Hawaii GO BLUE (

And...

It's pretty nice and quiet out here in Idaho.. Can't wait to see the blue turf later on.. Should be fun

Those tweets were from around noon today, which is right when the Michigan game was starting. His tweets make it sound like he was in Boise watching the Boise St. Game vs Hawaii. And is he using the GO BLUE in reference to Boise???

Also, Friday night his twitter said he was in Alabama...

Ok since everyone wants to know were I'm at... I'm in Alabama with homie saban

Is this dude just toying with everyone? He claims to have been in 3 states within 10 hours and 2 states at one time...

Can somebody bring some light to this?

Arnett is a teenager and probably has a great sense of humor. You are too wound up. Dee had some fun with all the attention as well. Do you think the same about him or are you cool with Dee since he will be here in a couple of months? Hope Arnett wants to join in the fun at the Big House, if not, I wish him good luck.

I know I saw a tweet earlier this week or last week complaining about how "grown men" take everything he says so seriously. Then he started boasting about usc, msu, and Boise. I think he is just doing a Dee hart with the public.

He was absolutely at the game.  Saw him walking out giving an interview to Sam Webb, and DUH TOM SAID HE WAS SO HE WAS.

He's been fucking with people on Twitter for a while now.

Arnett does as good a job as any receiver in the country at getting separation through his route running. On the smallish side, Arnett can still present a big target because of his ability to elevate and contort his body in traffic to make the tough grabs. Can work on getting off of jams as he gets stronger and adds weight. Is extremely elusive after the catch and is quick in space - Scott Kennedy, Scout.com.

Biography:
DeAnthony Arnett finished his junior season with 41 receptions for 876 yards and 10 touchdowns. He says he has a 37-inch vertical jump. Also started as a soph for the Trojans.

Arnett wants to be a sports agent and reports a 2.7 core GPA and will be taking the ACT in March.

Arnett: “I’m quick and I have great speed. I catch the ball well and have good hands. I can catch in double coverage too…pretty much everything I catch is in double coverage. I’m good at escaping the jam too. I think I do everything well…I can even block.

“I’m trying to add some weight. I also want to get in and out of routes quicker.”

I don't see Boise State on his list anywhere. The kid is a practical joker, he knows that the fans are hanging on his every tweet. He loves to toy and get a good laugh. Personally i find him funny. As to wether or not he will play for U of M, only time will tell. After a day like today though, our chances can only improve. Just my opinion, take it FWIW.

I hope that Arnett comes to Ann Arbor but, realistically, if he doesn't then some other receivers are going to put up NFL numbers in this offense. If he chooses to go elsewhere so be it...

A question for DeAnthony Arnett would be to consider who is more likely the higher selection in their draft year for the NFL...Ronald Johnson at USC or Roy Roundtree from Michigan?

RichRod has something good going on offensively here...Arnett would be smart to step up.

I'll take that action. In a world where Anthony Gonzales goes 32nd overall...apparently production matters. Roundtree will be similarly sized in his draft year and with better production. I wouldn't project ROJO into the first round (nor Roundtree) but I'll be interested to see the outcomes.

Gonzalez has NFL caliber athleticism, speed, and size, whether we like it or not. Roundtree is not the same physical specimen that Rojo is, and I seriously doubt that he'll continue to produce enough in this offense to make up the ground in their physical differences.

No DeAnthony is definetly messing with people. I saw him outside Gate 1 today at the Michigan game sporting Michigan gear. He watched the receivers go through drills before the game and i saw him walking around Crystler after the game with a big smile on his face.

I'm really sorry to do this, thanks for the information and all, but you're clearly a Michigan fan so you should know, and you're one of many to do this, but come on guys it's Crisler. Not Chrysler, not Cristler, not Crystler. I hate to be the spelling guy, but this is such a pet peeve of mine. Just like how people spell it Good Time Charlie's.

Why do people who clearly don't support either team (folks who show up in MSU/OSU gear) even show up at games?  Well maybe they enjoy watching football but why wear rival apparel?  What are they trying to prove?

Also, I understand that Maize winter type clothing isn't a hot seller and maybe people don't want to buy blue stuff either but why wear a oh, I don't know, red jacket/hoodie?  Seriously, it's the color of our biggest rival and you're wearing it to a home game.  Wear white or black or anything besides red.

That's what I thought, I don't remember where I heard that.  I don't expect him to come here, would love to have him.  I just hope he doesn't go to MSU.  We have a good shot with Watkins and have Conway already.  Not sure where I heard this, is Conway good to go with grades.  I hope so.
