Always keep this handy.
This is a video of the150th anniversary of the Glee Club, correct? My Dad is in this video. What a great group to be a part of.
Me, too.
They're down to 13 commits and three of them are soft verbals. At this point, I feel sorry for the kids who are still planning on going there.
Don't feel too sorry for them. Those 13 commits are (according to Rivals) six 5* and seven 4* recruits. They could fill out the class with 2-3* types that they steal from WAC schools at the last minute and it would still be a pretty damn good class.
Yes, or they could all go to any other school in the country if they want to. Never feel bad for people who have tons of great options because they decided to choose one of the bad ones.
They're not stuck there. These kids are either at SC because they really want to be, or they won't be when all is said and done. In either case, I wouldn't feel bad for them.
Everyone needs impactful players at the rush end positions.
Wow, so that leaves them with 13 committed including 5 EE. How many commits did USC have at its peak this year?

on a Louisville blog real soon....
It's tough being Blue in Columbus!!!
You could be right, and that'd be great for them, but I've heard that Hatcher really likes Mark Stoops. Kentucky is one to watch in this one.
I agree. He's good friends with James Quick who's going to Louisville.
The USC Decommittment All-Star Team has to be approaching top-10 on Rivals by now.

I bet they're above Auburn, and Auburn missed a bowl and fired their coach (although you could argue that USC "missed" their bowl as well). USC has lost 2 5 stars, and three four stars now? Or is it more than that? Let's make a list and compare.

Either Kentucky or Louisville would be a good choice. He can play for Mark Stoops or Charlie Strong.
When are we going to see Leon McQuay decommits from USC and commits to Michigan?

He can't - he's already enrolled.
WOW USC's in a world of hurt. You know your in trouble when your own dad decommits!
My question is how does Kiffin get these guys in the first place? It's like he can cast a spell on anyone he meets but it wears off in 6 months.
The Team, The Team, The Team.
Most coaches at big-time programs are older guys who have been around and paid their dues. Kiffin is kind of a golden boy who has had a lot handed to him at a young age. Maybe he's just not ready. He didn't last long in Oakland, booked from Tennessee after one season, and hasn't lit the world on fire at USC.

And to think I thought Al David did him wrong when he fired him...I apologize Al.
His departure IIRC was pretty messy with Al Davis unloading on him publicly.
He could hone his skills, maybe play in a BCS for UL and never cross paths with UM.

Maybe I'm out of the loop, and apologies if this is a stupid question, but what's going on at USC that all of these commits are backing out? Is it just the disappointing season they had, or something bigger?
Kids can see through the BS. Maybe yet were lied to or mislead. Maybe they see some writing on the wall. Whatever it is, I'm glad some kids have the courage to follow their instincts. To hell with Kiffin.
USC was the preseason #1 team, they were coming off a 10-2 season that finished strong, and they have the USC brand so they started the recruiting season on fire. It looked at that point like SC was back to being SC, which is basically Alabama but in Southern California.
Then SC lost to every good team they played (plus Arizona), Kiffin made himself look like an ass a few extra times along the way, and they imploded against 6-7 Georgia Tech in the Sun Bowl after not even showing up to the Sun Bowl team dinner. They then lost their NFL DC (who was a big recruiting draw in his own right) and replaced him with a guy from Cal who is pretty good but far less impressive.
Now they have a coach on the hottest of seats, and a program presumably headed in the opposite direction it appeared to be 365 days ago. These kids have lots of options, and many of them are choosing to head elsewhere.
Says a lot that many are giving a hard look at ND after the season ND had.
about Kiffin's exit after next year? Haden gave him a vote of confidence for next year, but can't see him lasting longer even at 9-3 or so.

Swirling is an understatement. SC alums are really pissed, and some feel that Kiffin was only kept for the recruiting class, which is now falling apart. Kiffin will have to put together a very good season to keep his job, and that might be tough with a first year starter at QB who didn't look very good in limited time this past fall. They have talent, but they're very thin at a lot of spots, so injuries might play a huge role for them this fall.
I actually started rooting for USC to keep him another year so he could slowly twist in the wind while the boosters and alums pelt him.
Firing would be too humane.

Or have they already gone through that?
I kinds feel bad for Lane at this point hahahahahahahahahanope.
