Runs same defense Durkin did here.

Coached under Harbaugh at Stanford.

Has lived here before.

Lunatics in the athletics administration during his last run are now completely gone.

If you look at everything outside of Michigan, he has had a pretty big bounce everywhere.  He has taken real bad defenses and turned them into top 15 everywhere (except Michigan).  The only issue i see is he was primarily a DB coach.  I think this would make sense if Zordich would follow Durkin to Maryland.  Otherwise we'd have three coaches that have backgrounds coaching the secondary.

known Durkin will be gone. He probably has already made some inquires. I still believe he may dip into the NFL for a DC. Nothing like a highly regarding defense coach form the NFL to lure recruits. They all aspire to play in the NFL.

I'm less worried about immediate fallout in our class and more worried about having an ace recruiter on the east coast to compete with in the future.  If he's successful there, this division is just a nightmare right now.  2 truly elite programs (OSU, MSU), 1 likely to be at that level in the next year (UM), 1 blueblood that could be resurrected at any time (PSU), 1 crazy-good offensive wildcard to deal with every year (IU), and Maryland with some potential under Durkin.

Sucks to be Rutgers.
