DB Position Group to Transfer
Citing program instability and discontent with its presumed position on the team’s depth chart, the University of Michigan Defensive backfield position group has requested its release from U of M, with intent to transfer to another Division 1 school. The position group attempted to explain its decision during an interview.
“It’s nothing about the school, you know? And it’s not the coaches either. I’ll always love the University of Michigan. There’s just been so much uncertainty about me. I’m made up of these guys, then those guys. Sometimes I’m playing zone, then suddenly man. Nobody pays me any mind for three years, and now everybody is. My days were full of hair, and now I don’t see enough of it to make a balding hamster.”
The position group also cited injury and personnel concerns.
“Just between you and me, this isn’t a safe environment for a position group like me. There’s some spooky stuff going on. And then, I’m not sure if there’s enough of me left for the field.”
In parting, the position group did try to bolster fans’ emotions.
“The team will be alright. In truth, I’ve spent the last two or three years paralyzed by fear of injury, so I can’t imagine this will hurt them too much. I’m thinking about talking to BYU. I really need to get a god of some sort on my side sooner or later.”
Defensive coordinator Greg Mattison spoke on the position group’s transfer.
“I wish DB well wherever it ends up. As for us, we’ll finally be able to get that tough defensive challenge we’ve been looking for with only seven men. The players that comprised DB would have been moved, but upon its announcement, they all suddenly disappeared in a cloud of torn ligaments and confetti made from transfer papers.”
He continued, but the glare off of his forehead disrupted our recording equipment.
I wonder if the true freshmen DBs coming in this summer wanted to hit the field their first year...
Since most of the DBs we recruit end up transferring or getting hurt, maybe we would be better off just putting linemen and linebackers out there. It would at least improve our run defense, and as we all know, being big and strong and tough by running the ball and stopping the run is the only way you can win in the B1G!!!
We can alternate between playing the 10-0-1 and the 11-0-0.
Gotta do something in the 100% power-I, running 99% of the time conference like everyone knows the B1G is...

we believe the game of football should be played in a manner as close as possible to its nineteenth-century equivalent. Keep running straight up the middle off tackle. Your blockers WILL get to the second level eventually!
What you've just written is one the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read it.
Hater.
That's so funny last time I heard that I laughed so hard I fell off my dinosaur.
You can call me nighthawk.
I used to smoke pot with Johnny Hopkins...it was Johnny Hopkins and Sloan Kettering, and they were blazing that shit up every day.
It was in international waters so they couldn't prosecute, but yea, I saw it.
You have to call me Dragon.
Speak for yourself. I got a chuckle out of it.
I wish Michigan Secondary Hating God would transfer .. somewhere in conference
it'd either be Indiana or something like Wisconsin where they're off the schedule

What could it possibly do to Indiana?
But if GERG was still our DC... it might not really be a bad thing.

A few schools, but i heard university of pheonix has the egde.
They must have sold them by showing them University of Phoenix stadium and telling them that they will be playing there every week.
This appears like one of those threads where the OP thought he had a good idea and something funny, but it really does not play out that way in the end....
Go Blue!
You mean like almost every other thread that's trying to be humorous? Oh that.....
That would be funny if defensive backs transfering/not qualifying/leaving too early wasn't one of the major direct causes of our current football situation.
The fact that it just seems like that would be the next logical thing.
In 2009, before the aftermath was known, I would have found this pretty clever. Now I find it depressing, but that's just me.
Is this true?
They should give out special awards for Michigan secondary players that make it through 4 years of college without being hurt or transfering.
