Day after Thanksgiving College Football Open Thread

Start with Syracuse-Temple, but shortly followed by the more important but ultimately disappointing Nebraska-Iowa. LSU-Arkansas, the Apple Cup, Arizona-ASU, and various other games of modest importance. But it kills time till the leftovers come out.

I'd throw in Michigan too. They beat us mainly because we lost Denard for more than a half. Better to win ugly than lose pretty. Disappointing but we could be closer to BCS than people think. Beat Ohio and anything is possible. Big 12 is really not much better than B1G if you look at records and ACC is horrible sans two teams. 9-3 isn't usually BCS worthy but our three losses are to three top 15 teams. Beat Ohio, get quality win, ????, profit with a chance to win back to back BCS games for the first time ever.

Jesus Christ. If not for a Denard injury, that should be us in the B1G title game. Hell, if not for the most ridiculous shit show of poor luck and incompetence by Nebraska's opponents, that should be us. Fuck this shit.

We've got Utah-Colorado, West Virginia-Iowa State, LSU-Arkansas, Washington-Washington State and what's left of Marshall-E. Carolina to hold us until the basketball game.

Iowa is the worst coached team in the Big Ten.  Awful play calling, awful clock management.  Being an Iowa fan for one game made me disgusted by the coaching.  Like many have said, I'm thankful those coaches aren't at Michigan.  I can't believe anyone could watch that game and not think at least one person on Iowa's staff should be fired.  Gerg Davis is every bit as bad as Gerg Robinson and Ferentz seems clueless on any sort of game managment.

No, I'm not going to blame Borges or Hoke. Bellomy had been practicing at QB while Garner hadnt'. Maybe after he sucked ass on the first 6 drives they would consider it but they didnt. Literally our old highschool QB would have done much better than Bellomy. Bellomy has a worse arm than probably half of the lineman on our roster. The balls he throw looked god awful and idk why hes getting free tuition to do that. My pointless anger has now subsided.

/angry rant done.

Gardner wasn't going to play at Nebraska because he hadn't gotten any snaps the previous weeks. You can blame the coaches for having him play WR, but it wouldn't make much sense to put a rusty qb who has no game or practice experience in over a year on the field at Nebraska.

After the first four drives, it was clear that Bellomy was in panic, and not capable of executing anything positive in that game.  Not his fault, just a young QB on the road in his first big road game.

At that point, you need to show a little bit of desperation, and try something - namely, giving Devin a shot.

Hoke and staff made a major blunder here.  It cannot be sugarcoated, despite his long list of excellent decisions to date.

who gave back Nebraska a lead and/or helped them generously win a division title

Penn State
Wisconsin
Iowa
Michigan State
Northwestern
Ulnar Nerves

screw all of you. Nebraska should've been a 5-3/4-4 B1G football team and they somehow went 7-1

Is there a rooting guide out for us to make the top 14 (assuming we win tomorrow). If we win how many spots would we move up/ how much help do we need from other teams?
