According to Eleven Warriors, Dawson has a top two of Ohio and MSU.

[Ed-Ace: This is relevant information, but let's just say the discussion didn't go well. Locking this down.]

They ARE comparable situations.  Just because they're not exactly alike doesn't mean they're incomparable.

Kobe Bryant is comparable to Michael Jordan.  But Bryant didn't grow up in North Carolina, doesn't play for the Bulls, didn't go to college...  I guess that means we can't have a discussion about their similarities, right?

Kalis switched his commitment due to a coaching change and an uncertain future in regards to NCAA sanctions. It appears Dawson is no longer a Michigan commit because the coaches were growing tired of flip flopping and couldn't trust he'd honor his word on signing day. Dawson is 100% in his right to explore all of his options - he just should not have committed before he was ready. From an outside perspective it appears he's upset with UM for dropping him. My opinion is that deep down he wants to come to UM and now that the option is no longer available he's trying to stick it to the fanbase. I say it's sad because he really should be looking out for his own interests and not worrying about UM anymore. Ship has sailed.

Uncertain future, huh?  Dawson has commented that he doesn't want to go somewhere and lose, and now he's got Florida and Ohio State (two good teams) in his top five.

No two situations are exactly alike, and these two situations aren't an exception.  But the bottom line is that the situations are similar of a guy committing to a team and then considering/committing to that team's archrival.

Jeez. Dawson doesn't owe any of us anything. High school kid who just lost his dad made a decision that doesn't benefit your preferred method of entertainment. Get over it.

I think that we should form a fanbase enforcement brigade.  Let me explain.

I should add, as an initial disclaimer, that this is not emblematic of how I as an individual usually approach life.  Not only do I not have a twitter, I don't read the tweets of others with extremely rare exception.  I'm also not a fan of internet mob justice.  Finally, I'm a big "live and let live" human.  But sometimes I read things directed at 18 year old recruits on Twitter that literally appall me.  It's worse when the miscreant twits have a Block M as their little profile picture.

Here's what I propose: an official MGoBlog "Michigan Moron of the week."  Ace, in his weekly or whatever twitter perusal of target and former target recruits, will select a particular individual who has tweeted something horrendously shameful at a recruit.  It can't be something that opinions could be split about - it needs to be straight up gruesome and lacking of humanity.  Ace will then publish the tweet in his weekly column along with the account name and accordingly the Internet Will Do what the Internet Will Do.  A perfect example would have been a hypothetical tweet directed to Dawson mocking him for his dead father, which exemplifies not only extreme selfishness but also a nearly unfathomable lack of human empathy.  I've never said this in any other context ever before in my life, but I have an irrepressible visceral feeling that an example must be made of these tools.
