It was inevitable that he wasn't coming to UM since Malzone joined the class, but now here's confirmation that he won't be suiting up for the Trojans either.
Isn't that the kid that committed when he was in 8th grade?
And he wasn't the only 8th grader Kiffin offered while at USC.
Kiffin has offered a scholarship to receiver Nathan Tilford of Upland, Calif. — a member of the 2017 recruiting class.
The dangers of offering kids that young. You don't know if they're truly elite or just peaking as their classmates are catching them.
There is no danger. You can revoke it whenever you want.
Giving out committable offers then. USC was fairly obvious in their wish to rid themselves of Sills for months, but they can't really just cut him off without coming off like huge a-holes
Bigger a-holes than in 2013 when USC notified (4* DE) Kyle Fitts not to show up - three days before he was supposed to enroll?
Hand, must I go on? Sry I dont have time for this rebuttle.
And best of luck in Morgantown
Is it me you're looking for
She's three times a lady. Love those WV women.
Plenty of time to de-commit and go elsewhere.
slinging it in Holgerson's offense.
But what ever happened to keeping your promise?
David Sills committed to Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin is no longer at USC. Sills figures that when the coach he committed to is no longer in the job, he is no longer obligated to honor the committment. Probably a mutual parting of the ways because the new coach, Steve Sarkisian, did not recruit Sills.
THe WV MetroNews has some reaction to this, of course, as well as a writeup with some various sttements both by local writers and a few scouts. Here's their piece - LINK
Some of the comments are interesting, including this one optimist:
Maybe things are getting better. We actually got a QB recruit that other big schools were interested in.
As someone mentioned, Sills might fit into Holgerson's offense, just based on my own study, so it may not be a bad situation at all for either the Mountaineers or Sills.
Good for the West Virginia program. They were and are a fun team to watch.
