David Molk Likely to make Eagles Roster
I thought people might like to read this nice piece about David Molk, who looks a lock to make the Birds, though under unfortunate circumstances. UM players have as a whole a great rep with Eagles fans, who were sad to see Jason Avant go and think Brandon Graham is a great player who has had really bad luck (injuries, system changes, etc).

This one (with the same article as well) actually made it to the boards yesterday but did not get very much attention relative to the threads that were also being churned out at the same time (rather a lot of news due to Media Day). I suppose we could leave it for those who may have missed some rather relevant news about our former center.

Molk will be great under Chip Kelley. The Eagles have a great starting center in Jason Kelce, but Molk should fit in and develop well.

The Eagles are the perfect team for him. They emphasize zone blocking and athletic linemen over strength and size.

As a Michigan/Eagles fan, I definitely think Molk makes the team. He's athletic enough. He has the brains for it. He also performed pretty well in the preseason game, fwiw. He's taken a good grasp of the offense and was giving backup center Julian Vandervelde a run for his money before the injury. I love the Michigan to Philly pipeline with guys like Avant, Graham, and now Molk. My only dislike is that we switched from a 4-3 to a 3-4, so we probably wont be getting any defensive players from Michigan anytime soon, except for DB's since they're getting larger.

I'm curious how many other Michigan centers, if any, have more career starts.

So happy for Molk. Always loved that kid's attitude and his play.
