David Harris, Mattison, Hoke and Borges on The Rundown
David Harris, Greg Mattison, Brady Hoke, Al Borges and David Brandon all joined "The Rundown" sports radio show on WBBL The Ball this morning for their Michigan Wednesday of their tailgate tour.
Dr. and Bently are pretty terrible to listen to, but Mattison had some good nuggets when talking about the defense, specifically the players we could see a lot of. Nothing earth shattering, but worth the listen.
Thankfully the Michigan Men make it worth listening to.

Harris revealed that he struck a deal with the NCAA to overlook his NFL experience and grant him an extra year of eligibility. He will be eligible to play this year. Word on the street is that he will be one of the gunners on kickoffs and the deep safety when necessary. Opponents beware.

Only Manzel, the SEC as a whole and Oregon get special deals with the NCAA. Harris isn't playing.
Nice try.

great to listen to these guys. Both Borges and Mattison (and of course Hoke) seem like very solid guys. It's not hard to imagine how they recruit so well as they generally seem to get along with people.
Borges knew Bentley from being back in the USFL in the mid 80s and said he wanted to get Bentley out for a game. Just a genuinely nice guy.
Mattison also rattled off the depth chart (not sure why they made him go into sch detail) but I was excited to hear Stobel menioned highly...haven't heard much about him so far

If the last part is true and you heard it would you care to post what he said? I won't be able to listen to it and would like to see at least that part.

It's at 5:50 in the audio. As he's running through the positions he mentions Strobel first as one of the guys who is "coming into his own this year". I was surprised to hear him mentioned before Black (although Black is mentioned as someone who "started a lot of games this year"). That contrasts with his discussion of NT when he mentions Q as the guy who started a lot of games and then Pipkins.

On a computer, it opens a flash player in a new window, so I highly doubt they will work on the iPhone.

I cringe every time I read someone on this site say "Michigan Men" without irony.
So unbelievably pretentious.
